Best Sounding Exhaust??

Hey guys.....

So I am looking to add my first official Mod to my bike.
Getting tired of her being so quiet, when all my friends have loud *** exhausts.

I am curious on peoples opinions on what the nicest sounding exhaust is.
I don't really care to much about performance, I am getting the exhaust more for sounds.

Any advice/opinions would be appreciated

And the bike is a what?

Always been stock for me. Also most economical and the one with the most resale value.

How do you figure most re-sale value....
I would say any Mod increases Value on the bike

You never get back what you put in...at least in most cases.

I wouldn't say any mod, but an exhaust is definitely something that I would gladly pay premium for if I'm buying a bike.
Things like levers, windscreens etc. don't count for much IMO.

P.S. I love my Akrapovic.

Oem is going to be the way to go in the next few years as more and more regions and citys engage noise bylaws. There will be some money made bringing bikes back to stock condition.

Sure you do!!! If you're riding a 250 the weight savings alone adds 25hp and 50km/h no? Lol

On a serious note. You're always losing value on your bike (depreciation) but its personal taste and minor performance gains depending on the bike.

On a side not a car hearing me never hurts either. Probably helped a few times.

Yoshimura all the way! I just love the unique sound and rumble of a yoshi.

Try buying an original exhaust for a 25 year old bike. Then you'll see what the value was.

If someone messes up the exhaust install it can cost you. I'm not sure that I'd take that risk buying a used bike.

Why not try buying one for the OP's actual bike instead, ID sell it to you for $50! No matter what brand slipon you buy for an 08 ZX6R, even used should fetch way more then what I will ever get for an OEM exhaust, even if its taken off with zero KM on the bike....

Stock exhaust cans are worth $50-100 at the most.....What you like better is your opinion but dont fool yourself stock is almost worthless on the used parts market compared to aftermarket....and Im not talking about 25 year old ones, that is pretty irrelevant

And youd have to be pretty darn stupid to mess up a slipon exhaust install

exhaust sound is totally personal opinion...So its hard to tell you what you would like....Personally I like Akrapovic as its not obnoxiously loud, but has a nice sound..

Others like fart cans like D&D....so it all depends on what you think "best sound" is

Try looking for clips on youtube of your specific bike

+1 for the Akro (I'm a Yosh guy on pretty much anything japanese but Akro if it's a ZX).

Had the same dilemma as the op on my zx6r. I ended up with a KR tuned carbon slip on. Looked amazing and really nice a full throttle. Slip ons for those bike are expensive compared to my now owned Gsxr which has a Leo Vince installed by previous owner. Looks great but to load for my taste

I guess I should've included that in the original post lol....

Kawasaki ZX6-R 2008

your only options for that bike are

Full Akro system
or
Jardine RT-1 dual outlet.

the jardine was the best slip on, I didnt have the money for full akro. that sounds and performs best.

I researched this like a madwhore when i first got the zx6.
every friend i could find with an 08 as well as youtube

The jardine can be had in carbon fibre and looks uber bad *** with the dual outlet.

I found the yosh too quiet for my taste and the akro slip on was too expensive, im sure it sounded great though too.

I have an '07zx6r (same bike) and I looove my Two Brothers exhaust. I think it sounds just right and looks badass. I'm not sure why two bros gets so much hate, but I love mine. Your welcome to
pM and come by anytime to listen to her in person before you make a decision.

Also, the Two Brothers exhaust comes with a nice fender eliminator kit and new taillight with purchase

The nicest looking exhaust for our bikes however, is by far the Pinebox. O man
