Best place to get PAL license in Toronto (North York) or just North of Toronto?

Yes, rifles are much easier. No ATT papers are required for transport. No locked cases are required either for transport. For a handgun it is mandatory for you to have joined a club in order to purchase a restricted firearm.

Do you know the cost for club fees?

Not true, you can buy a handgun and you will get an ATT to take it home, but after that you cant take it anywhere lol

Haven't even get my PAL yet, not thinking about ATT yet. I don't even know what that stands for, lol.

But thanks for the offer.

att = authorization to transport, yup having a license isnt enough, you need another piece of paper that allows you to move the gun from a to b hhahaahh what a ****ed place we live in

u dont need a license to shoot with someone else btw, u can shoot another persons gun as long as they have all their crap in order. you can also go to target sports and shoot without any sort of license as well but u use their gun, their ammo and someone is with u to babysit you, and ofcourse you pay for all this

I already have a gun waiting for me..just have to get my license =)

I plan on joining the gun club in Ajax or Aurora just because they're open 24hrs.

It's funny how you can buy all the stuff to make a bullet without a license but you need a license to buy a already made bullet.

That I didn't know. I'm getting mine for IPSC so I doubt they can put a rush on that =( Haha

Well, you'll have to get your PAL/RPAL (you can take the weekend course or just challenge the written/practical exams), then you have another weekend course for IPSC and bring about 800 rounds for the weekend... :)
Had my PAL and went down to Mississauga to do the RPAL from FAC (by the airport), check the link.... http://www.guns.to/fac/
...and did the IPSC later

If any goes according to plan for you, I don't mind tagging along with you, I will pay for beer and rounds. Beer after the range of course

Every club is different. Some sell shares so they are much more expensive and harder to find, but you end up owning a piece of the club. Others have a yearly fee. Silverdale is 240.00 and the range safety course is free. Other clubs charge for the safety course. There is also a club in Burlington that is open 24 hours. I have heard good and bad things about it. Best thing to do is visit and talk to members.

Yea I know about that place. But the earliest course they had was in October I think.

And yea, I know about the Black Badge course. I plan on practicing alot with my friend before I take it. I know it's all about safety but I want to do good too.

Forest Hill Revolver Club is $350 the first year and $250 a year after that. The only problem is its only open Sunday nights as the space is shared with other clubs. They are looking at getting on other place in October as the one they have now is shutting down and I believe the new place will be in Mississauga.

i did mine with a guy named Phil Smith in mississauga, he's on that list if you decide to go with him. other than that download the books which are available online for free and read it over till you know it inside and out.
you have to do a written and practical test for both restricted and non restricted.

I did a practical shooting course with Phil before, he also runs CFTI. Oh the small world of firearms...

good choice, Richard is a great instructor

I did my PAL course with Richard, I agree, good instructor.

Got mine booked as well for Sept 6-9.

Anybody shoot or plan to shoot IPSC?

I got my black badge last year, shooting production with a G17... Mind you I haven't gone to many matches...

Close, $655 for the first year, plus $45 for joining Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA), so $700 only.

Every year after that is $550, plus $45 for CSSA, so $595.
