Best Jacket and gloves you ever owned?

Where do you order both Rev'it and Held ?

Rev'it! can be purchased at Riders Choice. I'm not sure about Held. Check out Dual Sport Plus as they do have some stuff on sale.

Yamaha Oakville has some held products. I ordered mine off sportbiketrackgear.com . I could swear there was one dealer closer in Toronto, but I don't remember.

Revzilla can not ship Rev'it products to Canada, FYI.

Use a mail forwarding service.

On the same topic sort of...where's a good place to get Rev'it or Klim type gear cheap? I don't care if it's older years models I just wouldn't mind a goretex jacket that's well made that won't cost me a kidney or limb.

probably best to wait till new models come out and old ones are discounted. Dual Sport Plus www.dualsportplus.com carriers a variety of different Klim jackets from $350 and up.

Please, can you explain why? and how you got this information....

Thanks.

I did a test to see if it will let me order a Rev'it jacket. Just before checkout I get this message:

"
Unfortunately, the contents of your order and the shipping destination require a custom shipping quote from our logistics team. To request a custom quote, please confirm your order below.A logistics expert will contact you at xxxx@xxxx.com with a shipping price and a link to provide Credit Card or PayPal payment for your order. Your order will NOT ship and you will NOT be billed until you receive this link and finalize your order with payment information."

Might just be really expensive to ship.

I believe it has to do with import/ export laws but don't quote me on that. Easiest way to get them would be having them shipped to a shipping company in Niagara Falls NY or to buffalo, then just wear them back over the border

Most likely. Amazon.com has a whole pile of stuff they won't ship to Canada and it's got nothing to do with it being dangerous goods or anything. I think I tried to order some moisture wicking underwear or something and it wouldn't let me.

It's already been touched on, but basically the manufacturer will not allow them to ship internationally. There are ways to get around it; a mail forwarding service, ship it to someone you know in the US and have them send it to you, etc.. Basically when you try to check out you'll get the reply posted by wonderlings. When I tried to follow up I was emailed by someone at revzilla stating what I have just summarized.

This applies to Rev'it products. It may apply to others as well, but I can confirm that they can not ship Rev'it, and they can ship Rukka to Canada.

If you have the $$$ and want to get the best kit the first time there are only a few limited choices already mentioned here. Dualsportplus sells Klim, Riders Choice sells Rev'it and Oakville Yamaha sells Held, furygan as well as other high end gear. It's not cheap but you will get great gear the first time.

I would not go by the big ticket stuff the first time around. Get something at a moderate price. Go through a few of the cheap ones to decide what you want out of a jacket, before spending big $$$ and realizing you want and need something different.
