Bell Fibe 25/7

I've been with Acanac for a few years now but it looks like Teksaavy has the edge now for speed/cost. For kicks, I visited Bell's site and was surprised to see a 175 mb symmetrical connection! I was very tempted to subscribe but then saw the 300GB cap with $80 max overage charge =( We are so behind in Canada

I think for the 175 connection you have to be in the right neighborhood as very few are setup for that service. Even my 25/7 was pretty limited as I could get it but my buddy on the other side of port credit on stavebank can't.

Good point. I'm in North York so I imagine there's a good chance it's available but unfortunately I can't justify the cost even if it is. If there was no cap then maybe.

I have a friend that is an installer in the east end. He told me there are very few areas you can vet fiber to the home. It pricey as well. The real question is what are you going to do with a 175/175 connection anyway? Unless your a saint and want to share with your whole street its more then overkill. It still be nice though. Bandwidth would be like water through a faucet.

So, the best DL I have had so far was 2.8MBps, that's pretty much the connection maxed out but it could go a bit higher if it got the right connection. I'm catching up on this years MotoGp now that I can get them this quickly. Anyway I got to say that the Bell Fibe 25/7 delivers a very nice connection IMO.

It's not actual FTTH so don't expect an open faucet of internet goodness, but rather a more tolerable, natural feeling while using it. Downloading a gig in minutes is sweet but I'm already craving more!
