Being deliberately screwed with? Normal or no?

Do police do anything when you simply report them?

It depends on how good a description you have of the driver. If you don't they send a letter to the vehicle owner.

Never had it happen to me but i have been noticing a lot of drivers driving on the lines this year...What's up with that...
One of my biggest peeves...lane weaving! :( Those idiots will kill you before they even realise they've put you in danger.

...get away from him and then turn off somewhere and go a different way to my destination. We're not going to win against a cager, best to just leave them alone.
Definitely get away from them....sooner rather then later! You could potentially end up in an accident or something because on top of the danger they pose to you themselves, their dangerous driving has now distracted you as well.

I knew an A-H who came into the office chuckling about how he went to Niagara Falls on the QEW and was cutting off an 18 wheeler and then slowing down doing it over and over again. He actually thought it was funny.
I would have pointed out to him it would have been hysterical if the transport had run over the back end of his car too...

I'm just curious, with all of these dangerous drivers, would it be beneficial to have a camera on when you're riding?
I've been thinking the same thing lately... Sad it's coming to this. More and more people I know are wanting camera mounts for potential evidence...rather than good moto video :(

Early on riding in my first season last year i had a white BMW in front of me at a red light in markham. The light goes green, everything starts to move and then he comes to a complete stop in the middle of the intersection. So the ******* sits there for 10 seconds and i decide to pull around him and go on, maybe he stalled or something. as I goto pull around him and move on he slams on the gas and trys to race me. At this point I am beyond ****** off and if it werent for my inexperience his shiny white BMW prick mobile would have had a nice big ****ing dent in the damn door.

yup , you get these people, wouldn't say it's common that they intentionally do this alot, but when they are on a cel phone, they don't usually know that they are...lol...as for "rideitlikeyoustoleit", sorry read your name as "rideitlikeyourtoilet"...if you think mississauga is bad, try scarborough, it's a sport out there...

<---- Check location..I am from Scarborough. :hello2:

I like Scarborough but these road racers are starting to get annoying. I would race them but it's my first year riding and I value my license like it's my life. Next time, I'll just take down the license plate and report it to the police.

Let's play a game! Whoever can report as much cagers before riding season ends, wins! Haha

How would we confirm our kills?

I've only ever had one experience where a car had messed with me to the point where I actually pulled over and I think it was under unusual circumstances, definitely not typical behavior.

There was an idiot in a Mitsubishi Evo 8 wanting to race me. I was travelling the speed limit on a 80 km/h stretch of road. This idiot pulled up beside me revving his engine. I have a little Ninjette and making a quick getaway was never going to be an option. I shook my head and gestured to say no, but he just didn't get the message.

Well..., you know how you go where you look? While he was next to me wanting to race, where do you think he was looking? He veered towards me!

I got really ****** off and ended up pulling off to the side of the road and the dumb *** finally got the idea.

The whole situation was ridiculous and you know what's best about the story? He even decided to give me the one finger salute as he drove away!!!

This kind of stuff has happened a few times to me this year. IMO, people in cars feel they can push us around because they are surrounded by metal and we aren't. I've had people tailgate me on the 401 at 120km/h and pass me in my lane, I've had people in adjacent lanes look at me then turn into my lane because, hey, they assume I'll move if I don't want to die, at 4 way stops I've had other drivers simply run the stop signs for the same reason.

It's a real jungle out there for us right now. All we can do is be vigilant and ready to react.

I don't like anyone around me. If I'm stuck and something like that were happening... I'd lane split at speed and get out of dodge. At some point in time you have to weigh out your options and see which one is the safer route, especially if going slower didn't work.

BTW - it isn't normal. Then again IMO it helps to look "imposing" when you are riding.

+1

.....

OP These are are just some of the types of people that cause accidents, next time do what Metastable does if the situation is the same, its what i've learned from experience is the safest thing to do, and always works like a charm... at the same time metally it is indirectly showing a huge invisible middle finger to the douschebag now way behind you.

On a bike always remember there is no point doing any physical confrontation, because the idiot in the car has a better war machine, but you have one advantage he/she dosen't have, size and speed, use those to your advantage in a safe manner. Over the years i realised there is no point trying to get the drivers to understand your emotions or what the driver has done wrong, because the more you do that the more painful your ride becomes evertime around, trying to teach drivers how to drive around you, instead, learn to drive around these idiots expecting everyday is going to be a different style of riding. And get used to picking out people on cell phones, female drivers, contruction pick up drivers, commercial vehicles, senior drivers, cagers etc. even when stopped check your 6, two to three times before the light turns green, you never know the car behind you could be slowly rolling you in tight. Listen to your gut, if you feel you need to move from behind the car in front, move!

ride safe!

It is often annoying, but cagers will assume because you're on a sport bike they expect you to break speeding law. Many a times I'd be casually cruising on the highway at speed of traffic, around 120kph or so, when idiots in a cage would see me, and speed up behind me, honk, and swirve dangerously to pass me, even though everyone else is moving around the same speed.

If I were younger I'd probably get provoked and race past them, but these days, I'd rather keep my demerit point at 0 and insurance low. I ride a bike for the joy of riding, not to road-rage-race with stupid cagers.
