Being deliberately screwed with? Normal or no?

On any given day, people in Civics, Mazdas, Volvos, and even soccer moms in minivans tend to want to race... Guess everyone wants to prove that their 140hp car can go faster than a 130hp bike. I mean, c'mon, they got 10 extra hp, right? Right?

Its amazing how many women in SUVs want to "prove" something!!!.
Or jerks in green safari vans.

Yes yes, jerks in civics are usually a constant headache.

And ppl that like to fck around with u such as hitting the brake in the middle of traffic when ur behind them are just a-holes in general...

What is it that attracts these Tamil guys in their Civics to racing me? No one is impressed.
LOL.. this actually happens to me as well.. civic with 5 guys in it revving his engine at me, what an idiot.

You should've taken this guys plate down and taken it to the police.

I knew an A-H who came into the office chuckling about how he went to Niagara Falls on the QEW and was cutting off an 18 wheeler and then slowing down doing it over and over again. He actually thought it was funny.

some times those dolts find a semi up their butt. i remember one that was brake checking a semi and the semi ran him over because he didn't leave enough room.

LOL, i've seen a tiny car cutting off a semi and slows down in front of it on DVP a couple of months ago, some drivers are real funny

I'm not sure that it's always deliberate. I've seen lots and lots of bikes and cars that have trouble staying in one lane.
You'd think with a bike that it would be easier, but it doesn't seem so. Many riders apex sweeping corners as though they were on a track, getting right up on the line with the bike's tires and hanging their body way over into the next lane. I've seen cars do the same, and then get confused or upset when you honk at them for it.

There are those who think that all bikers, or maybe just supersport bikers, are hooligans and want to teach them a lesson, but they tend to be few and far between.
The same goes for trucks.

On one fine day,

My father and uncles were all driving their cruisers to niagara. A driver and 2 passengers in a modified BMW tried to break a 7 man tight formation. Not wanting to get injured, my father and the group slowed down so that the BMW could pass. Instead of taking the proper motion, the BMW slowed down as well, and broke the tight formation. My father and the group followed the BMW 40km away from their destination. When the BMW had to stop for gas, they busted the entire car with the driver and passenger in it. My uncle recalls imprinting a steel heel print in the quater panel.

Thats wicked. Buddy was telling me a story of when he was on the back of his dads bike as a kid and some a-hole cut them off in a rediculous fashion. at the next red light, he pulled up beside him. got off his bike and punched him in the face. WIN

Theres no doubt in my mind that this guy was doing it on purpose. I looked in his window as I passed him and it was some d-bag wearing an undershirt and a flat brimmed cap. (God I just sounded so old there) and he stared me down as I flipped him off and hit the throttle. Not sure what his problem was but I didn't even think to get his plates. I was too busy trying to avoid him to make a mental note.

Remember the license plate. Report him to police. Things like hammering the brakes, for no good reason, are a HTA 172 heat score ;)

That's what a lot of people seem to be doing now, whether for the documentation of bad drivers or protection from HTA 172 charges.

Disagree. Never happened to me.

Maybe not common enough to happen to everybody, but I have heard of it happening to others and it has definitely happened to me. I guess they're only driving for the lulz? Definitely makes me think of getting a camera.

I'm just curious, with all of these dangerous drivers, would it be beneficial to have a camera on when you're riding?

Thats what i plan on doing when i get back on the bike later this month. Whenever i see an a-hole driver, i'd point to my camera on my helmet.

Always keep a pocket full of pennies or BBs.

A while ago I kept hearing about "carnage" on the roads and streets as well and despite riding quite a bit I was yet to witness anything of that nature. Chaotic driving, inconsiderate, etc---yes, but still far from what I would describe as "carnage". I'd take these reports with a grain of salt. Maybe there are areas in the city where this is more common, but overall I do not believe this is something to be worried about.
