Beginner Riding Fears. What was yours?

Getting hit by an idiot on the highway, going flying, and then the hard landing...

Holy ****, I always think about this riding up north....in for story.

before I headed up North I was afraid of getting chased by bears. Ended up having 2 bears cross in front of me without even looking at me. The deers were scarier stuff. They'd pop out of nowhere and leap across you. Almost nailed one luckily I swerved somehow.

helmet hair- seriously- it was one of the first topics i started up lol

...still no cure...

Too bad there is no solution for this one short of shaving everything off.

Another fear I have is in DIY maintenance. I've been doing a few things to my bike and I always ride very tentatively for the first few Km's for fear of something going wrong.

My fear was that my RZ-500 would seize...ouch..:sad1:

Riding outside of the city and getting hit by a deer or hitting a deer...so I avoid sunset rides outside of The GTA.

Alreay wrote off a vehicle because of hitting a deer.

All those mentioned here, but one that has not been mentioned yes is starting the bike on a hill. I was always worried about getting stuck on a hill and getting in the way of traffic.

No fear, just thrilled exhilaration.

Leaning. I know technically the bike won't go over; it needs to lean. But (really) leaning my bike is still something I have not really tried to do. And no, I have no need/desire to "drag my knee" either :) I've tried watching videos, reading. I know it's just a technique I have to practice to get over the "fear".

other cagers. or my possibly over-confidence...only second season riding and i think im in that "bullet-proof" mindframe.

I took my sister out as a first time passenger, I wasn't sure how the bike would handle and I was afraid of going down. thankfully shes small and I was able to handle the bike. I've only been riding full time for a couple of weeks so first time passengers were my biggest worry.

Biggest fear when I started riding....?
Women attacking me....good looks, charm, leather jacket, motorcycle.

Think AXE commercials.....It was quite dangerous at times.

My fear since beginning until now?
"Bike won't start and can't figure out why"
