Beginner Riding Fears. What was yours?

I was just thinking about when I first start riding, my fear of turning right into a street or driveway...I know that I need to determine which gear and speed that I will be going before entering the turn...so I would start slowing down earlier and the car behind will be close to you...

What was your beginner riding fears when you first start??

The fear is still there and I don't think it will ever go away.

helmet hair- seriously- it was one of the first topics i started up lol

...still no cure...

Get badly injured and surviving as a vegetable....I'd rather be dead. Easier for me and my family.

cagers

Smashing in to trees or rocks... Once I got on to the street, my big fear was left turners at intersections.

Man I had so many fears when I first rode my bike home from the dealership. The biggest was probably falling in windy and rainy conditions. My first light hail storm with high winds I nearly crapped my pants going 50km on Steeles in traffic, I pulled over and waited for it to pass before I rode again.

Funny enough on my way home tonight in the rain riding on the 427, I was thinking what a huge difference. I would have never even thought of riding on damp roads let alone in the rain behind cars and trucks going 110km/h.

Oh and to top it off as I was heading North on 427 where it intersects the 401, I was being careful to make the turn at speed and some cager at the last minute decides to cross 2 lanes to merge onto the 401 nearly taking me out in the process. All I could do was hit my brakes and honk my horn as the idiot passed me and continued on his way.

I was really scared about a month ago when I got my bike and went 60km/h. A few days after that, I went 110km/h on the 404. That was really scary! Now I'm just afraid of being pancaked by other cars and trucks.

Taking a turn too fast. Mainly due to possible bad reactions on my part during the turn that could make the bike unstable. Working on that confidence!

My beginner fear was getting caught in a corner between the push-steering and normal steering threshold (I was convinced that it only took place after a certain speed, lol...).

Getting caught by the police speeding at several times the speed limit. Well that's a current fear.

When I was a noob, it was a fear of hitting gravel in a corner.
