Barrie and area

Hi,
A Group of us usually meet at Canadian Tire on Bayfield, then head up to the Muskoka's. It's good becaus there is gas there and food near by.
Cheers,

LimeGreen

Gotta get together then ...

Apparently. Have you decided on a new bike?

Yes I have decided that I dont have enough expendable income to buy another bike this spring! LOL
But if I was to, I think the leading candidate would be the Versys 650.
Also looking for a position in Barrie in which case the 250 would be fine for bombing around town and to work as opposed to going up and down the highway 2 hours! Until my son steals it that is, then I need to have another bike! LOL

Hey all,

I'm moving to the area West of Barrie May 4th now that I am posted to Borden.
Looking forward to meeting the local area riders.
I saw there are some new female riders out there. I'm with you as well.
Been riding for many years. Started with dirtbikes and moved on to the street.
I'm still on my R1 - that is until it sells then I could be on a CBR600.

I'm also posted to Borden, lots of riders on base.

This is a pretty good group. I think everyone is quiet because the bikes are still packed away. There was talk earlier of organizing the new meet up time/location. Keep your eyes on the thread.

If any of the new guys/girls ride dual sport, pm me and I'll show you where we organize those rides.

Looking nice tomorrow, so I'm thinking a little Creemore run is in order. Since the conditions of the roads are still fairly unknown at this point, pace will be leisurely to lightly hooliganesque. Noob/2up friendly. It's only about a 2-2.5 hour trip, so I'm thinking 11 am leave barrie, do the tour, then back to hooters and see if their patio is open for some wings? Open to suggestions...

This is just step one! I had to bring everything to my parents in Newmarket before I move into my new place on Country Rd 13. I don't get it till May 4th.
Perhaps negotiations of unpacking will go faster with beer AND a BBQ.

if we were going up north I'd say lets get going earlier, but just for a short tour, 11 seems good.

Meet up at the Essa Tims like usual? Leaving at 11 Sharp.

had a good ride today, even if it was just Jason and I LOL

River road is in great shape, little bits of sand near the west end of it, but other than that really good. 9 thru creemore is in great shape as well ;)

T'was fun.

There was a blue sportbike down at Essa and Fairview, fresh accident at 130ish. Intersection still closed for investigation.

I got there between the police and EMT. :(

Driver in stable condition after south-end Barrie crash

A motorcycle rider is in stable condition in a Toronto hospital after a crash in south-Barrie early Sunday afternoon.
City police say the crash between the motorcycle and another vehicle took place at the corner of Essa and Fairview roads at about 1:25 p.m.
The bike rider was first taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, then flown to Toronto's Sunnybrook Hospital.
The city police reconstruction team is investigating the crash.
