Barrie and area

Definitely not out. Other weekend was in Burlington visiting mom, no snow at all roads dry was 8C and sunny - saw a few out!

In Barrie now we get into the crappy time where all the snow banks melt and its a mess and wet on roads.:(

I was able to get out once in January when it was 10 degrees for a day or two and I went out a couple weeks ago but it was pretty chilly. Bike started first try both times :) - saw another guy on a 250r out a couple times too, made me want to go home and get the bike.
 
I had grandiose plans of riding my new KLX250 home from Hamilton to Barrie but the weather wouldnt cooperate so I trailered it home on Saturday. I took the battery out on Sunday to charge it after a number of failed attempts to start it :(
 
I guess I'm the crazy guy this year, I was out for a total of 7 minutes on Saturday. I took delivery of a new CRF250L and rode it around the block a few times. My cold weather gear is ok, but the gloves are not awesome.

Ok guys new season, lets iron out some weekly meet details for this summer.
I'm liking the idea of a weekly ride to a different ice cream/sweets place every week.
So meet at a timmies then head out and do river rd and Creemore as such.
Not interested in sitting on my ass for 2 hours eating ice cream, this year we riding.
We can even incorporate a wing meet ride or a ride to join another group in Toronto and such.
Thoughts ideas?

I'm going to try to work from home most Thursdays so I can actually make it.
 
I get why we meet a Timmies, but the car pool lot across the street might be easier to get to the highway from.

Yea just something about waiting in a carpool lot hahaha. Sometimes guys show up strait from work and wanna grab a donut or something ;).
 
Same time? Earlier? Later? I know there was lots of discussion last year about the times.
 
I know the biggest issue for a majority of my/our riding group was the times last year. You guys were all gone by the time any of us who work in the city got there. Why not consider going for ride before hand and then meeting at say 8pm at Kawartha? That way you get your ride in and have a little meet.

This was the main reason we pretty much never came out. Also the L&L meets were always guaranteed to have a turnout and a time we could get there by which were also on Thursdays.

Monday nights there is a meet at Lakeshore Fry Stand in Orillia however same kind of problem. The original group gets there early and sometimes leave on a ride and when people cant make it there till 7pm no ones around.

Just throwing out some points of interest.
