It's being tossed around down South. My question is. Have you ever felt it!
It seems be working very well on Trump and a few others. It never really worked very well here on GTAM. But it doesn't need to.
I was given a12 hour timeout on Facebook a little while back for saying that looters should be shot in a post where someone was defending them. And when is said shot, i meant in the leg with a little gun.

Pffft. Got 30 days for saying I'd like to shoot my neighbour's 8' inflatable santa and frosty the snowman (which he set up first week of Nov)
 
I think the anonymity of the Internet is partly to blame.

Back in the old BBS days, we used to have ongoing flame wars between members. This pretty much stopped when we started having regular get-togethers IRL. When you can put a face, a voice and a personality behind the screen name, you're more apt to respond with civility.

In one case, an anti-Semitic, redneck kid from a small town came into the big city to meet us city slickers. He'd been spewing some pretty hateful sh!t on the boards, but after a few drinks he got to know and befriended this Jewish guy in our group and they ended up becoming close friends (we're all still pretty close these days, 35 years later). Anyway, he ends up going home and starts having arguments with all his redneck family and friends defending his new Jewish friend. Complete turn-around, it was quite amazing.

Not debating sky-friends. More along the lines of "My new friend doesn't seem to have a controlling interest in the media or the banks. He's an IT nerd, just like me. And also maybe the holocaust wasn't a hoax..."

What did they ever do to you? Inflatables are fun!
