Bad Driving Record and need insurance!!! HELP PLEASE

I'm still curious on why not ask the company who insures your car. They would probably be your best bet no?

Technically speaking you're asking for an eighth chance, not a second. One more and you qualify as a cat.

I'm hoping to read that it's a 1000 and at least 08 and up :D

For ***** and giggles I priced insurance through TD (Pay $477 with an at fault - mistake, I dont have an at fault, would be $450 a year without on a ninja 250) on a GSX-R750. $1700/yr. I was like holy ****. Wanted to price a Ducati as that is probably going to be my next bike, but they didn't have that on the website. Such a jump :(

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's glad that someone with 7 conviction having difficulty getting insured is a good thing.

Or are people just being nice because the username contains 'girl'

I'm of the same opinion.

Although the thing about no sticker in the ownership has me worried. All my vehicles have valid stickers and don't think I put a sticker in any of the 3 ownerships.... (Edit: Just checked, not sure how but all my ownerships have valid stickers. Guess I'm more on the ball than I thought.)

Got pulled over like a month ago but they didn't bother to check the ownership or insurance. Just wanted my license.

Are you sure you should be riding a bike? They are not as forgiving as a car in case of an accident.

Read the stickies - all possible insurers are listed there, including the selection process. If you wait 6 years from your first accident, those accidents should not be on your record. Otherwise, most likely the only company that will insure you will be Facility - you may have to buy some vaseline... as buying a bike without a clean record and without checking insurance may be a big mistake - you may have to wait until those accidents come off your record (or at least you're down to 1), and then try again.

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere on else on the thread cause I'm too lazy to sift through it right now... But did anyone else wonder how newbiegirl has 7 convictions (or presumably moving violations cause those are the only ones that effect insurance premiums) and hasn't racked up enough points to have her license suspended?

............

op just get a dirt bike until your record clears up

Could be a bunch of under 15's. Those don't have any points I think.

Speaking of newbiegirl, looks like she hasn't been on here in a while.

As for the sticker on back of ownership...

i recently went to service Ontario to change my address on my ownerships... The one I had for my bike had the sticker on the back, however when I got my new one with my new address there is nothing on the back.
