For no insurance? Absolutely! If you're dumb enough to try it and you get caught they should add to the fine a mandatory time where you are unable to have insurance/lic. for. I'm not talking none of this 90 day crap either. It should be a year minimum. 2nd offense and you're done for 10.

criminal charge?? jail? are you serious...? The only ones who should be getting criminal charges and jail are the bastards who allow this extortion that we call 'insurance' here in Ontario.

i agree that the insurance rates we pay are extortion. but there are very bad drivers out there causing chaos and accidents for everyone. you get your g and you can have it forever as long as you don't rack up enough demerit points. id feel safer seeing some of these drivers off the road. if your so bad that you can't even get insurance, then that means you shouldn't be on the road period. id prefer retesting at certain periods.

if your going to drive without insurance, then go to jail when you get caught. a car is a weapon in the hands of someone that can't drive.

You know, guys, I get it, I made mistakes, but I've learnt my lesson, and am looking for a second chance, and I am not a bad driver, I am responsible, dont drive like a maniac, and I've seen a share of maniacs on the roads. And jail time for what? I am 30 year old professional woman, so please dont give me that crap. I am not going on a road without insurance. Legitimate insurance. But this insurance business is outrageous. How can I be legal if I am not provided with the means, no matter how much it costs...

And thanks so much! I appreciate it!

well if you Must ride
try nordic, broker was easyway
I had 3 or 4 or 5 tickets before, don't remember how many exactly in "3 years period"
they take my case and it was ok, over 30 like you, around $2500-2800 on 600cc sportbike

Are you riding for the sake of riding or commuting?

Since you already have a car, my suggestion would be to add a hitch on your car, get a bike, and tow it to the track to ride. That way you're able to ride legally w/o having to pay $5000+ a year for insurance.

Just my $0.02.

2500-2800? Still better than what a lot of riders pay for SS..

They are saying jail time for riding without insurance. Not for you.

And despite what you say, you have 7 moving violations in the last 5 years (i assume, if theyre showing up on insurance) so you are kind of a maniac. 7 times you got caught, what about all the times you didnt? You can get insurance, it will be like 10k dollars though, because you are a risk. Its called Facility insurance, and they are forced to insure anyone (but can charge whatever they want). You will be given your "second chance" in 5 years, assuming you get no more tickets between now and then.

moving violations such as speeding only stay on your record for 3 years , accidents are 6 years , so how long until you have a clean record?

Tickets are 3 years on your liense. Accidents are 6-10 depending on the insurance company.
