Bad Driving Record and need insurance!!! HELP PLEASE

Hey Guys,

So here is the story, I bought a bike, and now am trying to get insurance and because of my record I am so far not able to find someone who will insure me. My driving record currently has 7 minor convictions which include 3 that will drop off as of next year. Any reco's will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Newbiegirl!!

As kellen said, any broker can get you a price with facility. It will be ugly, but it's going to be your only option (even when you drop 3 convictions, the 4 left may still push you into facility). Financially, your best way forward is sell the bike and wait until you have less than 2 convictions before you try again.

ya you're pretty much SOL unless you ride dirty! Or maybe put the bike in someone else's name and get them to insure it.

holy **** 7?? And I thought I had a bad record...ever heard of a paralegal? Forget riding for a bit, even when 3 come off you'll still be getting raped.

Finding insurance with 7 tickets. Why would you even contemplate purchasing a bike before looking into this.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's glad that someone with 7 conviction having difficulty getting insured is a good thing.

Or are people just being nice because the username contains 'girl'

Bought a bike without checking the rates first? Hmmmm

What can I say, I had some bad luck, it's not like I am an agressive driver, one ticket is for not having a sticker on the back of my ownership, but I had it on the license plate. How is that a conviction???

Thanks for laughing at me! I know, I laugh and cry! I had no idea, I went to court to fight every one of the tickets..they still landed on my record!

Did you call around? What kind of quotes are you getting?
Not that I can help but it will make me feel better knowing a woman is getting a worse quote than me :):)
Ps. You're screwed for a while

If it makes anyone feel better, "uninsurable" is what I get. It's not the severity of conviction, but a number of it that f''s me up. I am screwed for awhile, but I'm still hoping!

No hope....people on here don't even get insured with 1 speeding ticket on the reacord.

Hmm bummer..On the bright side..by the time you get insured you might have your full M and 25+ ( unless Lready 25+)otherwise.. sell the bike or insurance fraud are your two options

Cause you were found guilty. Get a quote through Nordic (Facility) and hope for under $6000. Try again after you only have 2 and start to watch your driving.

A bit off topic, but how do ppl ride without insurance? I mean wouldnt the consequences be really really bad?

5000 dollar fine, cheaper then their insurance would cost... but she's probably going to get pulled over or in an accident. An accident would just screw you completely though. Get insurance or don't ride a motorcycle.

$5000 is the least of your worries. It stays with you for a long, long time.
