My daughter wanted an ipod, so I bought her one. She created an apple id, and when she uses app store and tries to download free apps it says she has to use a cc number or i tunes card. This is just typical apple BS. Feeling less sorry for jobs by the day.

You can get one and jailbreak it with snobreeze, then the apps store is irrelevant. I will jailbreak hers tomorrow. It just bugs the **** out of me that those retards do this ****.

I am not really big on the whole Apple thing and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Isn't an iPod used as a music player?... Much like a CD/MP3 player?
What use can you make of any app on such a device?
If it's an iPad or iPhone, I could understand but an iPod?... Can't you just load the music on and call it a day?

Pretty much anything you do on an ipad you can do on a ipod. play games, surf the web, take pics, use documents to go ect

You need a CC for itunes accounts and free app downloads now?

I'm no Apple fan by no means, but I do have to say their customer service is the opposite, incredible. My experiences with Genius or w/e they're called has been extremely satisfactory. That includes very helpful and knowledgeable support staff, getting a motherboard replaced twice and a free mag-power adapter even though the laptop was out of warranty. Oh, and I think free ipod headphones too somewhere in there.

I think I see the pick you're in though, I'm guessing you're afraid your daughter will download non-free apps/music if you put your CC on the account?
