Anyone miss riding yet?

My rule of thumb is 10 Celcius or higher in the morning.

If I went by that, I could only ride some of july and august. It's not always that nice at 5 am. But then at 230 pm coming home, half my gear is in the saddle bags.

Meh, don't miss it all that much. I just use it as a form of transportation now, still better than car. However I have different hobbies now

Yep, me too. Last spring, summer, and fall I was leaving the house at 4:00 am most days. But at least I was heading north to the Midland area, a hundred different back roads between my house and work. :)

Oh sorry, I decided to spend some time with a woman so I haven't been here for a while.

I have been sick on/off since week of Christmas. Coupled by the extreme temperatures we've been getting it doesn't really help. In short, lots of sleeping

I started the motorcycle training course earlier this week.
It should be interesting, there were about five people for every expected position at the first meeting.

Sounds intriguing. I wish I knew what it means.

Stopped riding sometime beginning of December, really starting to feel it now. Bought a bike this time last year to relieve the winter blues. Find myself looking at Kijiji again this year...

I did missed it not because of winter but due to work.
So i flew to Cali, rented a bike and rode for a 4 days.
No need wash/ shine the bikes.

And was out riding the other day.

I was gonna say looks exactly like me right now

Me too. There is light at the end of the tunnel though and I'm pretty sure it's not an oncoming train...

The sun is setting nearly 1/2-hour later than it did on Dec 21 and it's rising at least a little bit sooner.

I was in Canadian Tire today and noticed that they've already rolled out their springtime items; fertilizers, grass seeds, gardening supplies etc etc and their winter selection is now being scaled back.

Spring is something like 63 days from now but we should be able to start riding before then (depending on road conditions and weather of course...)

Not at all dude.. I tore a muscle in my shoulder. It was pretty severe, there was not too much muscle left to reattach so its been stretched. It took a long while to get it working properly again. Its never going to be perfect again, but it works and I can't stay off bikes. Its just something I had to admit to myself. Now I am going online and just researching the heck out of any bike that interests me. I am going crazy basically. :laughing5: But in a good way. I hope I don't forget the speed limit, but I truly miss the feeling of riding..

I started using a bicycle again last year as practice for my right arm, and also for health and weight loss. It worked very well. Isn't that a beach cruiser? lol.. I just bought a mountain bike from crappytire..

hows the bike from cantire holding up? are their bikes that bad? im thinking about just getting one to ride around the block a bit, get some air in the lungs and the 2 wheel vibe for a bit, maybe offroad in the park when its better. haven't been on a bicycle since i was a kid really

Typically it is a bit later for me, as I want a few good rains to clean the roads of all the salt and crap still out there. Probably means another 2 or so weeks from the start of spring until that happens.

The wife and I both just have super cycles from can tire, $149 on sale. We've had them 4 years, still no problems at all. Just don't leave them out in the weather, they'll rust quickly.

I bought a $300 "schwinn" and it's a pos. I knew not to buy a CT bicycle but I took the chance, waste of money.

I had a couple ccm's/supercycles that self destructed after a few uses.

Bought a proper used Trek hybrid from kijiji 5 years ago. Thing is a beast and hasn't given any issues. Got it for $300 (more than half off). Solid everyday kind of bicycle.
