I have 14 months and 12,000 kms on the VR Pro gloves and they are still like new - just worked in, FWIW.
They are some of the best gloves available anywhere.
How do you think they compare against the Bickle gloves (currently on sale)? http://www.bickleracing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=80&products_id=320They are some of the best gloves available anywhere.
Mine too. I think from having to yank on the fingers to pull the gloves off all the time (because the wrist opening is so small), that's what blew out the seams in them. I had them repaired at a local shoe place and they double stiched all the fingers and widened the wrist opening, and they fit 100x better and have been holding up fine since (including a crash where I slid on my palms).Mine are falling apart and they haven't been crashed. Seams in the fingers are gone.I think it's hit and miss with the Velocity stuff.
I'm going to try the Bickle gloves instead.
I crashed in mine this year, slide on my palms on the track, they held up flawless. Just scuffed up the stingray slider pad a bit, that stuff is amazing. R.I.P. mr. stingray, you saved my skinCrashed in mine last year....aside from the abraded knuckles and sliders, no issues. Stitching is intact.
Have a custom kangaroo suit, it fit perfectly except at the ankles. It's too wide and bunching up inside the boot. Crash tested and held up nicely considering the crash. I have two pairs of gloves, and one pair the seams at the fingers broke, but were easily repaired for under $10. The other pair I crash tested and they held up like a champ. Next time I get a suit, I wouldn't hesitate to get another one from Jimmy.
