last time it broke the bike was still rideable as a fixy 😣
What the hell? I've never broken one in my life. Is yours particularly fragile or are you a gorilla?

I've no idea, and no I'm probably 155lbs soaking wet 😌
Bike is a 2014 Trek Stache 7
I do ride it almost year round including winter, so I wonder if corrosion might've accelerated it's demise?

Bringing it back to the person who repaired it for me last month to take a look

By breaking you mean the hub just spins without driving the wheel? The pawls don’t click anymore when you peddle backwards?

The first time it broke, the bike could not coast (fixy)
Now there is no engagement when pedalling, just clicking when trying to pedal (sounds like something is rounded off)
The pawls still click when pedalling backwards

It was my winter bike that failed similar to that, but pawls wouldn’t catch and I was 6km from home. I was crossing the road too when that happened. I had to get off and run with it. I started walking then I bounced the rear and slammed it a few times, pawls caught and I peddled without coasting all the way home. Luckily most of the way was uphill. I took the hub off and replaced it. Had never done that before but YouTube was my guide.
