Have you tried to see if a physiotherapist can help with the walking? A good/honest physio will tell you in one or two visits whether they can help.
No reason to limit yourself to one opinion. You should be seeking out 2nd, 3rd opinions now. We "interviewed" 3 surgeons for my daughter's ACL surgery before we decided who we wanted. Doc personality and schedule affected our decision. Got surgeon referrals from family doc, hospital fracture clinic and a sports doc.
OHIP calendar restarts in Sept. Therefore late summer vacations are usual for the busier surgeons b/c they have already maxed out their OHIP allowance.
My sports doc clinic is in Etobicoke. They have doc/physio/Chiro on site. I'm also using a very good physio therapist in Mississauga. Let me know if you want contact info.
did not know I even have/had a choice of surgeons. ty
