People are not this stupid. What bikes list for and sell for are the difference between fantasy and reality. You would think that if this system worked you could make big bucks buying bikes all winter and storing in a warehouse, then cash in come summer. People have tried this and failed.
Reality is when you sell a bike, you get 20+ lowball offers from people who will never show up, fair offers from people who never show up, 100+, " iz it stil fer sail?" Kijidiots, etc.
Reality is most 25-30 yr olds don't have the money. Even at $6000.
The US origin of the bike is also a problem.
Well, I always undercut by 10%-30% of the average so stuff moves fairly quickly for me at the asking price (including my old bike). I know a friend who did sell a Ninja that was dropped many many times for $3400 lol
Also know somebody that bought a used 2009 R6 from GP bikes for $8,000~ after my friend traded it in for a 675R. So I don't know, I think people DO buy it at asking price lol
