Another "Whats my bike worth thread?"

I'm thinking about selling my bike this spring and would like some opinions on what I can reasonably expect to get for it. I'm hoping to not be included in the over priced motorcycle thread :D

2007 Suzuki GSX-R 750
Black / Dark Blue in color
Currently has less than 12k kms on it.

Bike has been well looked after, always properly stored for the winter indoors.

It needs new tires so I was planning to get a new set put on in the spring.

Extras:
Ceramic coated exhaust header
Powder coated rearsets, rear pegs, shift lever
Custom rear fender delete with LED light for license plate
Puig tinted windscreen
Motovation bar ends and frame sliders
Healtech TRE
Woodcraft case covers
New Mosfet R/R installed with custom relocation bracket

This bike has never been crashed or taken to the track. It has always been well looked after with regular maintenance and oil changes.

EDIT:

Forgot to add if it matters, I bought it brand new from a dealership in Ohio and brought it home January 2008 with 1 mile on the odometer.

Is that an OEM exhaust that was ceramic coated, or aftermarket? And who did the ceramic coating? If that's a good exhaust done by a good shop that's definitely worth selling separately. Might want do that with the Woodcraft covers as well ... probably not worth your time for the rest of the stuff.

It's the OEM exhaust with just the header being ceramic coated. The shop that did the ceramic coating did everything, they are/were north of Brampton. I have read some bad reviews in the past but this was all done about 4 years ago and it's held up well.

Good point on removing the extras, I can do that over the winter, thanks!

I honestly don't know, people that sell and buy bikes are crazy with their evaluations, expectations and general duchines

5500 to 5800. The extras have no value, better to return to stock and ebay the parts.

Depends on the buyer. If it's myself or someone in the group I hang out with, we'd appreciate the TRE and R/R (his year of gixxers are known to blow R/Rs). Everything else isn't something I'd factor into the price because they're aesthetics.

I'd pay around $6,000 for it off season. If it's during the season, bump it up to $7,000 and be firm about it.

Rest my point! I bought a 2010 750 in 2011 with 3k on it and in perfect conditions for 8k, how can you expect to sell a bike that is 6 years old for 7k?

Crazy, but I am sure some idiot will buy it

OP - With all due respect (and as a former GSXR owner), the bike is 6 years old. From what I remember, they practically give away the 2013 models at/after the Jan moto show. I'd do as stated above - remove ALL aftermarket parts and sell them privately. The bike itself I think will sell for 5-6 (6 if you are lucky

Don't be doing that, post recent pics

Or at least ones without an obviously-old date stamp. :p

We're trying to make the OP money right?

There are a bunch of 600s during the season listed at $8,000 to $9,000. I don't know how many of them sell but I'd assume they do if everyone is still posting those prices. If he puts it at $7,000, some people might think it's a steal and buy it. I mean 2008 Ninja 250s are still somehow being sold for $3,000+ -__-

Awesome thread. "I bought mine for $xx xx.xx so yours is worth nothing. Makes any buyers idiots blah blah blah" very sound advice. Op do some searching around trader and kijiji. Take an avg. Perhaps try talking to someone at a dealership about what it's worth in their opinion. Good luck.

You can be firm all you want, you will not sell this bike for $7k, and reality check: time of year does not make a difference except the bike is now one year older.
Guys set firm prices and have bikes for sale for years.

People are not this stupid. What bikes list for and sell for are the difference between fantasy and reality. You would think that if this system worked you could make big bucks buying bikes all winter and storing in a warehouse, then cash in come summer. People have tried this and failed.

Reality is when you sell a bike, you get 20+ lowball offers from people who will never show up, fair offers from people who never show up, 100+, " iz it stil fer sail?" Kijidiots, etc.

Reality is most 25-30 yr olds don't have the money. Even at $6000.

The US origin of the bike is also a problem.

I would never waste my time listing it for 7k. I'd like to actually sell it.

Why exactly is the US origin a problem?

It will flag concern for someone who is thinking he will re-sell in a few years, also the assumption is you bought from US to save money, thus would require a lower price.
Also, there is no paper trail of crash or mileage damage for imports, so they have to trust you. But, it sounds like the bike is well cared for, which puts you in the top 10% of sellers already. I have never seen abuse of bikes like Southern Ontario. List for anything you want, because the reality is the market will sort itself out and a nice bike will sell faster, but the actual price will vary.
Highballers are just playing a game. If I see an ad with a high price expecting to recoup parts costs and "FIRM", he really doesn't want to sell it.
