Another lockdown=less riding?

From the news....

Can I travel within Canada?

"While non-essential trips from Ontario to within Canada are not encouraged there are no legal restrictions against them" End quote.

See you. I`m off. Have a nice day.

But who are "the healthy"?

Biggest age group contracting covid19 lately has been 20 - 39 years old ...
That's an interesting point.

Here, anyone over 18 is now eligible for the Vaccine and they have been vaccinating the 20-29's for the last few weeks. I would expect to see a big drop in young people heading into the second half of this month. Fingers crossed.

So I just came from educating people at the CBC news site. One guy who claims he is an anonymous big shot in Ontario Health commented about "Good News";

The number of daily Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Canada (and Ontario) has increased greatly over the past 2 weeks. Daily Covid-19 vaccinations in Canada where higher than Germany on Monday and many other EU countries

This is the response I placed to him;

Mr. Doctor Anonymous, why are you hiding your name, tell us who you are and your credentials. Are you ashamed that you will be exposed as a liar or maybe you don't believe your own propaganda rehearsed to you from your bosses? You say the number of vaccines administered increased in the last 2 weeks? Big deal, I can run faster than yesterday but I am still 50% slower than anybody else in the soccer team. You also mention that we vaccinated more people than Germany? Whoopee Doo, I can also buy more soap and pop corn than Bill Gates for 1 day but that doesn't mean I am richer than him, or better than him. Maybe on Monday Germany ran out of supplies because they vaccinated 5 million people that week, while Canada only vaccinated 123,000. Why don't you show us vaccination records of Germany Vs. Canada for the last 90 days? Why choose Monday only? Mr. Anonymous Doc, where did you learn to manipulate non-news as good news? Is this your thing or did you get a memo on how to look pretty from your Health Ontario bosses? Sincerely yours, an educated, independent-minded Canadian citizen.

Evidently you need to be spoon-fed.

Texas is in this chart - total cases, total deaths, population in right column: United States Coronavirus: 31,638,596 Cases and 572,856 Deaths - Worldometer

And here is their detailed information, take note of their "daily new cases" which is on a level-to-declining trend. Texas Coronavirus: 2,819,002 Cases and 49,138 Deaths (COVID-19 ) - Worldometer

Here is the all-countries chart: Coronavirus Update (Live): 133,856,896 Cases and 2,904,466 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Pandemic - Worldometer

And here is the detailed information for Canada (they don't break it down by province), take note that our "daily new cases" is on a rapid increase: Canada Coronavirus: 1,028,041 Cases and 23,173 Deaths - Worldometer

Worldometers cites their sources - scroll down.

And don't get into the "other morbidities" discussion. My brother-in-law has had diabetes which has been under control for 20 years. If he dies of covid19, it will be listed as a co-morbidity. Does it matter that perhaps he could go another 10 or 20 years if it weren't for that?

(Thankfully, that's now less likely to happen ... he got his first jab a couple days ago)

Does a person who crashes their car into a tree and dies of a head injury, die of a head injury, or from a car crash?
Statistics are funny things. The same data can be used to prove or disprove opposing hypothesis.

Its pretty hard to compare on macro data unless all control factors are similar. Comparing Texas to Canada is complex, how do population densities, proximity of urban areas to one another, health indices etc factor into things?

To me it’s simply a race, what happened yesterday is for learning and teaching. What happens between here and the finish line is what counts.

Woh will be there first? Texas or Canada?
