Another lockdown=less riding?

Here we go again.
Last year I rode over xx,xxx km. There was less traffic and seemingly little law enforcement.
Snowmobile season was much more closely enforced. One could only ride in their own district and tickets for trailering a sled out of your district and trespassing tickets issued when the trails were closed became a new phenomena.
Just wondering if they are going clamp down on motorcycle activities this time around?
Happy Apexes.

There's been very very little effort to geo-restrict people. I don't expect it to start now. Snowmobiles were a little different as trails are locally controlled.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Behave reasonable and the cops don’t really seem to care.

I think the sled thing got blown out of proportion. I went through 4 checks on the trails this winter and I was never asked where I was from. Quick look for the trail pass and I was on my way. With that said I never rode the closed trails between health districts.

Interesting. Every time I got stopped, I was asked where I was from.... I just lied (with a back-up story) lol.

Just like they did with snowmobiles. The police may stop riders and give $800 fine for not being in your health district.
Afaik, no such restriction has ever been placed on public roads. That was specific to a MOH issuing an order that affected private trails. Conceivably that could apply again to off-road trails if the MOH enacted similar measures?

I think it only happened around parry sound and north to north bay and over to Sudbury areas. And it happened once, i don’t think they issue many tickets

I didn't happen to me (but could have) but I heard the police were targeting a sled in a truck or being trailered.

It was feeling depressed in the garage so I took the sled out for a car ride so it remembered what fresh air felt like.

Fight the ticket . Ask for disclosure showing the lockdown was reasonable/necessary . They will probably just drop the ticket . Not one media outlet is covering these tickets in court to see if they go or get dropped .

I only rode a little over 4,000 km which was hindered by the lack of washroom availability...being a girl, it's a tad harder to just pull over and go in the bushes...I'm hoping this year is better, however it's not looking too good right now ?

90% of Tim Hortons have their bathrooms open now at least. McDonalds is about 50-70%.

Anyhow, for me, lockdown meant more riding. There was time. Contrary to much speculation at the time (during the first "real" lockdown) there was no legal reasons for not riding. A buddy and I did get chased out of the Forks for stopping on the side of the road to eat lunch but that was fine, we moved on and ate in a grocery store parking lot instead.

Managed 20,000km last year despite it all. 10K less than the year before but not being able to get into the USA really cut into things.

I haven't had a street bike in 10 years, so I am 100% riding more this year. Just got a shiny new sticker for the plate today. Now for it to just warm up a bit.
Congrats. What bike are you riding on the road?
