American Taliban

So your saying the democrats couldn't get a 2/3 "majority" of the house and senate or of the Sates to support an abortion amendment in the last 50 years?

The majority voters in blue states get what they want and can have abortions anytime they like, the majority voters in red states get what they want and ban abortions after certain time frames or all together.

Trudeau has even offered to perform abortions for Americans on our tax dime...

At the end of the day they will still be avaliable if someone wants one.
Yes, they probably could have codified the Wade vs. Roe in 50 years. Once it made it through the SCOTUS, it was generally accepted as law.
Now, 65% of people are in favour of pro-choice according to many polls, yet, 35% of the people are getting their way due to a stacked SCOTUS voting along party lines.

As for abortions on our tax dime - source? Sounds like another dog whistle to me.... If you provide a solid, middle (not right wing) source, I will gladly stand corrected and offer apologies.

I can't cite it, but I can report what I saw on the news. American Abortion Tourists will have to foot the bill. The cost quoted in the bit was (avg.) $600. OHIP covers Ontario residents. As far as my tax dollars paying for that, I'm 100% behind it. That's (aprox.) 2 weeks worth of daycare cost that will be paid for by the government once the $10/day carrot kicks in, based on the provincial average cost at $70/day.

Its astonishing what the right will do to stay in power, no matter the costs. If things don't go the way they want, they simply refuse to play ball and go home. At least the left is attempting to be non-partisan. The right wants nothing to do with anything that in any perceived way will reduce their power.
Left has spent the last two terms getting Trump and not much else. They are in power, not the right, but they put blatantly partisan bills up, then claim that the right is shutting them down. It will be interesting to see if the pro abortion donations dry up, since they didn't do anything when they had the chance.

Edit: Also, more than 65% are in favour of some limitations on abortions. It's not a binary decision.

Yeah no, both sides play that way.

Governments do everything possible to stay in power, then when they lose they spend every minute trying to slow down the agenda of the one in power.
