I've never really been a drinker, lately I started occasionally drinking very moderately in social settings, but realized most people use alcohol to excuse their really dumb behavior, so im not gonna be drinking anymore, just to filter out these types of girls from my life 🤷‍♂️

I don't know about MOST... but some people use the excuse of drink to EXERCISE their really dumb behavior... sorta like when the straight laced young girls dress REAL SLUTTY at Halloween. It was in there, just dying to get out

Then you know the wrong types of people.

When my friends and I go out and plan on having drinks...it is ALWAYS a good time. No one rude. No one violent. No one does any real dumb behaviour...we dance, we tell stories, and overall it is a fantastic time. We actually just bought tickets to a big Polish party in Nov and I for one cannot wait as it is ALWAYS a good time with this group.

Just loaded up the beer cooler now, and the whiskey is in the freezer for Thanksgiving dinner.

Same with myself and my friends (with the exception that we DO have some dumb behaviour but we do that sober as well).
 
I gave up alcohol a long time ago when I discovered that I just wasn't very good at drinking in moderation. It's great that I can go to a pub with some friends and order a 0% beer, have a nice time and not concern myself with driving home. Your results may vary.
 
Nothing like a pint or two of dark stout or amber ale after a long day of riding.

My buddy is trying to get me into bourbon. Was in Kentucky last week and I picked him up some non-exported, numbered batch bottle he got really excited about.

I do like the taste of those Old Fashioneds though. Cold smoked.

4 years of complete 0 for me, you’ll miss it for the first couple of years, gets much easier after that :)

old fashioned has been my go to for a decade. lovely pre dinner cocktail.

had a maple bourbon once, never found it again. was delicious
 
I don't drink other than Baileys in my coffee and the very occasional ginger beer at our Thursday night get together.'
Was always a cheap night at uni - 2 beers was under the table. Never certain how I got home but suspect too often a very patient Superhawk found the way.

I have had plenty of evenings with 6-10 buddies drinking hard…

Never have we ever got into a fight, considered a fight, or anything to that effect.

In fact, we just make more friends.

I say this after a bottle of tequila and onto the whiskey…

Was hanging out with my buddy who's into all the high-end liquors and we were talking about his favorite tequilas last night. Saw your Mayan agave post and asked him:
