had they been, polling indicated they would have won

Taliban has access to govt records that indicate who helped the western forces and their own government. They’re being searched out.

Guess the governments IT folks had some sympathy for the other side or were a tad slow ...Executions are starting to be publicized.

No matter. Someone puts a gun to my head to gain a password, they’re getting it. I’m dead either way but at least there’s a sliver of hope of being spared.
Maybe they had hope they wouldn’t be killed.
Or they were Taliban in hiding and just had the passwords / access the whole time.
He apparently doubled as a General in the Afghan National Army per some reports.
He also doesn't seem to exist both in English or Pashto on Google before his execution.

Little brother was working nights as a security guard in a building downtown.
His boss asked him what he would do if the place was robbed while he was on duty.
His reply was that he would ask them if they needed help getting the stuff out to their car.
Joking, but yeah that's above his pay grade, and his boss agreed.
What the everyloving bleep are our "leaders" doing? Sent a C17 to evacuate people. Good so far. Payload is ~170,000 lbs. Good so far. Picked up 106 people (~20,000 lbs) and left. wtf. How about we risk the plane and crew six times as often as necessary. Previous trip had <200 evacuees. Continuing the canadian political tradition of theatre instead of maximum impact.

How about we risk the plane and crew six times as often as necessary. Previous trip had <200 evacuees. Continuing the canadian political tradition of theatre instead of maximum impact.

Need to put in a second floor to fit more people. Something as a humanitarian nation should be readily available.

what a shite show.
Continuing to risk our soldiers to pull out 100 at a time seems dumb. US apparently had 800 inside the plane with lots hanging on the outside. My point is, if you are going to make a trip, fill the plane. If you want to slow down the evacuation (not a great idea based on what I have seen but obviously I am not privy to a lot of important information), make fewer trips per week.
