A Day In The Life....

I love that last shot. That looks like a fun thing to do but I'm trying to keep my vomit free record and I don't get along too well with boats.

A boat excursion on Lake Ontario cannot be compared to 7 hours of hell crossing the Atlantic Ocean during Hurricane Igor. Just Sayin' ;)

++++++++

I love everyday life pics, btw. :)

Have a pretty good "weekend in the life" report to make once I put it together. Competed in my first national mx race with a 10th overall finish!!Pics and video on their way!

They used to have a weekly meet at the Canadian tire plaza on Salem and Hwy2... tons of muscle cars, pulled up in there a few times and always get fascinated by the condition these vehicles are in. Beautiful machines.

Weekend before last I went camping at 6 Mile Lake. I didn't take a lot of pics. Here's one of a random road I was going to explore but after my SAAB bottomed out on a few rocks, I decided not to go any further.

Then I went to a bike night with a friend on Tuesday. Here's a pic I put in the I Saw You thread.

Then on Thursday night I attempted to get around to replacing the motor mounts on my SAAB. I got the first two just fine but the last one I couldn't get enough clearance. I took a pic indicating my clearance problem so here it is. It's not very exciting.

Then Friday I went camping again at Awenda Provincial Park.
Here's a pic from a boat tour I took:

Did you do 7 hours of hell on a boat? Props on that one.

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread...interesting lives we lead.

Video from last weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_caHcEDQSM but pretty much what I did this weekend too. ;)

If you're in the Kitchener/St Jacob's area this weekend check out http://www.kwflyingdutchmen.com/scalerally.html, ask around for me (Jim McIntyre) and I'll give you the insiders tour of the flightline. ;)

That's another hobby I've played around in. I have a .25 balsa cub that is in progress, but think I'm going to build a SPAD first to get better at flying.

I'm so glad my wife and I took the bike up to Dorset last weekend. This cold damp weather has kiboshed our riding plans for this weekend.

Here is a sample of our ride to Dorset Look Out Tower...enjoy the fall colors.

We started our journey from Hwy 2 and Port Union Rd.
North on Brock Road to Uxbridge.
Hwy 23 and 10 to Sunderland.
hwy 35 (small jog on hwy 2) to 118 westbound.
Bracebridge,
High Falls,
Hwy 117 to Dorset watch tower, and
Back home on 35, 7 and 2

Not quite Spielberg.

Thanks to my wife as camera and video operator....

Really nice pics Seabreez.I wish i knew how to use my little point and shoot better.

Thanks Wingboy, my point and shoot is awesome, optical image stabilization is a must especially when clicking while moving.

Some tricks: Take lots and lots of pictures, use the rule of sixes, meter off the sky when you want vivid blues. I will admit the shots from on the bike were done by my wife. So out of 100 or so pictures taken on that ride these were the ones I liked best. Oh, photography has been a hobby of mine since 1975. Btw the route was parallel to the 401 from Oshawa to Port Hope (Columbus Road).
