We only deal with Sony and Panasonic because they are the only big 2 manufacturers that still have Canadian divisions. Samsung and Sharp are dealt with through the US even for Canadian product so it can be a pain for Warranty work. As much as I'd like every TV to work flawlessly for 20 years that is not always the case.
My only complaint with Sony lately is their high end sets seem to look like *** in comparison to their cheaper/midrange models.
