exactly, for a little bit of cash people would even sell out their own mother
 
Father-son team, they should've kept it more private and strictly just the 2 of them. I wouldn't tell my own mother about something like this, let alone friends and other family members. Police say that "social media" was instrumental to catching these dudes, apparently that video worked.
 
When you steal over $700,000 and you have friends and other family members, I think people are going to start to notice a more extravagant lifestyle. I guess the better option would be to invest it in someway, lay low for a few years and then tell friends you won the lottery.
 
These guys ain't no dummies.

Cops only recovered around $11,000 or so. They can't find the rest.

So they do a little jail time, and when they are done, they are set for life.

Set for life on a couple of hundreds each before living and legal expenses? Not really. They will end up with criminal records if they get convicted with anything and this sort of crime isn't something that will net you gainful employment if they run a background check on ya.
 
It's still in cash somewhere. About only place I know that will take that kind of cash is Macau.

I do give them an "A" for no physical harm to anyone and apparently not even carrying weapons.

But they lost on this caper.

They'll pick up a few more skills and tips in prison and will come out as better criminals! :)

Not necessarily ... keep in mind people in jail screwed something up... not sure I would take their advice. Might be the pointer that got them caught.
 
I am sure this is not the end of this trend in ATM theft. From what I know the money is insured so the ATM folks don't lose. We'll just see insurance rates and fees go up....oh wait....they did....

As for their jail time, this is Canada it will be a joke and when the are released they will be smarter crooks and have money on hand, this time they will just pay for someone else to do the dirty work, don't you guys watch Sons of Anarchy :lmao:
