I'm sure Stoner's team mates were wondering the same thing when he was winning every race on the Desmosedici while they were busy finishing dead last. And then he hops on a Honda and wins the championship the very first year.
Yeah, IMO it's out of his hands and his future rests solely with the engineers in the Fatherland.
