2024 Paris Olympics

Massive difference.
Eddie was the only person in England doing it.
This muppet from Australia has written published papers on break dancing (whole different topic. Look it up, it's comedy gold). She knew there were people that were better and knew where they were.

The people in Australia that are actual break dancers did not even know there were try outs.

It's narcissistic behavior, and highly disrespectful of all the others that trained and put time in.

No , the actual breakers in Aus didn’t know there were tryouts for the Olympics. They try so hard to be too cool and gangsta, they missed the show. Not disappointing, the one with the least talent at least read the news .

And it’s over. Didn’t know when it started, and didn’t know when it’s over until the news the next morning…

I think I watched a total of 7 minutes.

When I heard about the break dancing event I thought it was 40 years too late.
That routine was so hard to find online earlier on...but damn was it worth to see it lol. Good troll by Australia.

I also managed to just catch a replay of the Men's 4x100m relay where Canada took gold.

Usually the 100m sprint is the key event...I don't think I read much about it. Wonder how our CAD team did.

EDIT: wow...4/1000ths of a second different b/w 1st and 2nd place. Canada wasn't even in the final.

None of the members of the men’s gold medal relay team advanced beyond the semis of their individual events. That’s why the gold relay was extra impressive.

Personally...I'm a firm believer that every sport requiring judges should be banned. There's too much room for funny business.

Make it simple. Factual results that can be timed, weighed, or measured.

I understand that would effectively kill off the majority of the sports...but really....what decides an 8.9 or an 8.8 on a dive? A 10/10 routine v a 9/10 routine? It's all subjective.

Only allow sports that can be objectively measured for a winner.

So remove all fighting
Remove gymnastics
Remove diving among others
Heck some of the team sports require "judges" for calls that get questioned or are deemed unfair.

I don't know.. some of these are some of the best human specimens in the world and push the limits of what a human can physically do. And it's part of that creativity that can push those physical boundaries.

The Olympics usually have either qualifying events (based on some world ranking or other sanctioned non-olympic events) or qualifying times at such events or other measures not just send your least worst. Then any respectable national level Olympic committee will also have their own minimum levels to also avoid embarrassment. There have been examples of athletes for example that met the Olympic qualifying but did not get to go because they did not meet the higher national level... Many of these rules have been tightened over the years due to above mentioned poor showings by ski jumpers, bobsledders, etc..

So for the "breakdancer", well there should have been some min qualifying to be in the olympics but more to the point, the national olympic committee showed they had zero class and just sent whoever.
