Some of the comments on social media sites are hilariousApparently she wasnt going to be able to compete with the other athletes because of the patriarchy, so she didnt even bother trying.

Sorry that Aussie gal hopping around like a kangaroo and then sitting down and rolling over was comedy gold . There needs to be a special recognition for people that can go to an Olympics and take none of it seriously.

Massive difference.
I think I watched a total of 7 minutes. And it’s over. Didn’t know when it started, and didn’t know when it’s over until the news the next morning…
That routine was so hard to find online earlier on...but damn was it worth to see it lol. Good troll by Australia.I think I watched a total of 7 minutes.
When I heard about the break dancing event I thought it was 40 years too late.

I also managed to just catch a replay of the Men's 4x100m relay where Canada took gold.
Usually the 100m sprint is the key event...I don't think I read much about it. Wonder how our CAD team did.
EDIT: wow...4/1000ths of a second different b/w 1st and 2nd place. Canada wasn't even in the final.
Massive difference.
Eddie was the only person in England doing it.
This muppet from Australia has written published papers on break dancing (whole different topic. Look it up, it's comedy gold). She knew there were people that were better and knew where they were.
The people in Australia that are actual break dancers did not even know there were try outs.
It's narcissistic behavior, and highly disrespectful of all the others that trained and put time in.
Again.... no other bobsledders in Jamaica.
So remove all fightingPersonally...I'm a firm believer that every sport requiring judges should be banned. There's too much room for funny business.
Make it simple. Factual results that can be timed, weighed, or measured.
I understand that would effectively kill off the majority of the sports...but really....what decides an 8.9 or an 8.8 on a dive? A 10/10 routine v a 9/10 routine? It's all subjective.
Only allow sports that can be objectively measured for a winner.
Again.... no other bobsledders in Jamaica.
Good movie though.
Agreed...Understand your point, but it does make a bit of a farce of the event. If they’re not good enough to actually be competitive they shouldn’t be there.
And yet she will be the only one remembered….good or bad.
Again.... no other bobsledders in Jamaica.
Good movie though.
A lot of good crossover there. You need one kickass driver but the rest are goons to accelerate as fast as possible.I read somewhere that bobsledding is what summer sprinters sometimes get into to while away the season change. Makes more sense in that regard for a Jamaican bobsleigh team as the nation has a history in sprinting!
