2012 gsxr 1000

Stoner, Hayden, Rossi don't want traction control because they are skilled at sliding the rear and feel they could take advantage of that, is that why u don't want TC?

No, not really. It can be fun to power slide the rear but it gets expensive chewing up a tire so I do not do it. (Much ).

I may be just a bit old-school in that I like to be responsible for what and how my bikes and cars react and handle. If those are the correct words I am looking for.

I enjoy learning to try and control the bike, and like to learn and adapt to its characteristics. I feel that is taken away from me as a rider when all I would have to do is wack the throttle open and TC and anti-wheelie take over; and then I could just squeeze the brakes as hard as possible without any thought and the ABC will do the brakng for me. What fun, challenge or enjoyment is there in that (sorry no question mark as my keyboard is messing up). Not much fun for me. I am referring to street riding but even in racing it removes some, dare I say, skill required.

I often wonder if all the electronics actually make vehicles safer because now that cars have TC, ABS, anti-roll and whatever else new cars have people simply drive faster and end up crashing just as much. People get a 4x4, as the saying goes, `They just get stuck deeper into the ditch.`

I'll skip the TC, ABS, Anti-Wheelie, etc. Personally I like the fact that my bike is a lil mental and will toss me if I screw up. Makes me a better rider (an actual REAL better rider and not a rider that just LOOKS good because the bike is bailing him out because he screwed up ie. mashing the gas too hard out of a corner and TC taking over to bail you out).

the amount of fatalitiies per distance travelled in cars have dropped substantially because of technology.

My drifting skills on the street are nowhere near as good as yours, I would love to watch you ride on the very edge of traction so I could learn!

I want to try a bike with TC just to see the difference in lap times, and see where I could get on the throttle earlier and harder......you can always turn of the TC

my 2010 gsxr has traction control.......me
