2007 Ducati S4RS - Buy or not?

I have an 07 S4R which I bought new. I love the bike. Its reliable, and I've put a lot of kilometres on it. Comfortable to ride all day, and although the range isn't great I've been all over the country on it. I even ride two up and my wife loves it too, although I have the DP saddle for her benefit.
The bike is a pussycat at low speeds and in traffic, but when you crank it its like riding an Exocet missile! Nimble handling at all speeds. The brakes are fantastic.
I can't say enough good about this bike. Buy it and you'll find out why!

Cool... almost the same bike and you've keep it since 2007. I think that says a lot about the bike. If you find that perfect bike, you'll be happy for a very long time. At least that what I'm hoping 
I have a question for ya about the headlight, how is it at night? Because I do a lot of in-the-middle of nowhere, up north in pitch black riding. LOL
I find the headlight just fine. I live on the fringe of civilization here in Gtown, and do a lot of country roads in the dark. You'll see those deer no problem!
Good to hear. I almost squished a raccoon earlier this year on my 650R up north in pitch blackness. The rule is, keep going unless it's large than a German Sheppard, isn't it. LOL

What they are saying is the bike has a stock ECU not the DP remapped one for the pipe. Shouldn't be a problem.
Houston superbike can remap yours for around 300 if you want it done. There may be someone more local but I dont know.
Rodney the slip-on you have on this bike looks like kit 96116707B which doesn't come with an ECU. That's all the dealer meant. The bike wouldn't run without one so rest assured it has one. Your procrastinating I sense maybe that's telling you that you don't really want this bike? God I should work for Ducati.
