Yeah great, but they have only for the GSXR 2006-2012.

I don't know how I didn't think of that before, but my dad owns a small factory in Europe with all kinds of machinery for making virtually anything from metal... maybe I can make specs for him to make me a few. Assuming I measure the stock spacers, what else needs be added to make it a captive? Just a small lip on the side that goes inside, and a bigger outside or what? Same depth I suppose?

Could just put a dab of grease on to get them to stick in while you adjust. Yeah, the can still get knocked out, but they will stay put for the most part.

If you add WSB spec chain adjusters made by lightech and sold by Blue Streak racing it simplifies rear wheel changes because the adjusters stay put with no need to adjust chain or align.

dbl post. OOPS

My old YZF 600 has a quickchange setup, farmed off of an old AMA Superbike from the 90's. I even have Magnesium Marchesinis to go along with it.\
Someday I will revive that baby, and race vintage classes with it.

That is one pimped out YZF

While we're at this, a quick question:

Many tracks wear one side of the tire more than the other, so is there any reason not to turn around the tire on the rim (to spin against MFG specified direction), assuming it's dry and rain grooves are not needed (or in the case of slick race tires)?

Most tires you can run backwards without issue. The Dunlop KR449 is what I have been using and I run them all backwards at some point.

Yup. Everyone riding in the Dunlop series last year all flipped them at some point.

If it were so and the rubber is not too old and not too many heat cycles on the tire, why would anyone buy a new front?

I did 9 race weekends and 9 Racer5 trackdays in 2012 on two fronts (that Jordan used at VIR in 2010)

Ya but your a little "different" :). They do last forever but I change mine when I don't feel comfortable running it any longer (usually somewhere around 100 laps).
