So Charlotte and I have been talking and expressing our need for adventure.
In 2020 we went out west and are wanting to do this again.
Looks like I will have July and Aug off this summer.
We think its time to do a true Cross Canada Trip!
So here's what I'm thinking and could use some input from...
Okay I was looking back at some previous trips and there's a few things you could add in if this is your kind of thing.
When you get to West Virginia you can ride down to the bottom of the New River Gorge Bridge.
It's a beautiful area and it's great for taking pictures.
Also Cooper Rock State...
The only place you haven't mentioned in this Shane is Ohio.
If you haven't considered it I think you're missing out.
A nice Amish meal in Berlin...#26 and the #555 and #550 and #145 and Hocking Hills and #78 to name a few.
You could easily spend four days just playing around this area.
Oh...
Crazy overtime for us right now and as of today I have 9 weeks holiday coming and I'm sure this will increase before summer.
Gonna trailer down and ride to Pensacola and the coast in Feb for a week.
Then head to Maggie Valley around May 1 for a week.
I've been looking at maps and would love to...
A few years back they recorded numbers of 130,000 people for there on day event in Dover.
I went to Sturgis for the 75th and heard there were more than 1.3 million.
After years of these events I prefer a week off...COVID FREE...and the Smoky Mountains with a pulled pork sandwich :)
Ya I guess that's me lol.
I would think I ride a little more than most.
As my buddy Sid Seixero once said "Life does not give a sh!t about what plans you have made"
With those thoughts in mind...I'm just trying to see as much as I can in the time that I have.
Take this coming August long weekend...
Yup I agree with you GM...it hasn't been too busy there at all.
I've been twice on the weekends and hardly any traffic.
Once things open up I'm sure it will become quite busy.
Tims in Chippawa is a gong show with or without Covid.
Talking to a friend in the states.
He seems to think the border will be open in July.
With Dougs latest updates on 2cd dose being moved up do you all think this is possable?
Could we really see the border being open that soon?
I know Subway is a chain but you cant swing a dead cat around here without hitting one.
But more importantly where to eat...
This was along the Niagara River just outside Niagara On The Lake.
There are plenty of picnic tables all the way to Fort Erie.
Plenty of bikes out this past Saturday.
Port Dover
Ya I know...we've all been there.
Knechtels is open...they do not have there pic nick tables open however.
We got ours to go and went to the city park at the top of the hill this past Friday.
The weather was just perfect.
Perch diner is now $16...did the price drop?
