    Porch Pirates !

This really reminds me of Fun with Dick and Jane. Who the F steals shrubs? You can't eat or smoke them, what in the actual .....?

Will pay experienced rider to inspect possible bike purchase

Check to see the insurance premium difference. If it isn't very much, then don't bother with a 125. A 300 can do highway speeds without a problem, a 125 will require planning to pass a dump truck.

    Insurance for Younger Riders

And if you ask for a mortgage at 18, but have the required deposit and can prove 5 years of consistent employment? Also, more people might be inclined to try riding if it wasn't as prohibitively expensive hopefully bringing about economies of scale.

    Insurance for Younger Riders

My problem is that all young riders/drivers are grouped together and punished before they have a chance to prove themselves. If/when you cause an accident, by all means get crucified by the insurance companies after the fact, but not before. By the time my son turns 18 and can have a full M...

    BOC Hits 5%

I don't consider investment in machinery/education/training to be the same as free electricity and gov't subsidies for exported (inferior) goods with restricted wages. In any case, it'll never happen, and, more importantly, it's currently not needed. If the labour shortage is as bad as I've...

    Insurance for Younger Riders

I just did a quick online quote for him. 17 with M2 on a 2015 R3 with rider training: $6000 with coverage, $5000 without col/comp. He'll be on an ebike.

    BOC Hits 5%

Wage equalizing import duties. China pays employees $5/hr, Canada pays $25/hr, hit them with a 500% import duty on everything and our manufacturing jobs return. The top 10 imports we have from China were produced here (clothes/shoes/furniture/etc) so we know how to make them and they were...

    Is Higher Octane Fuel Better?

Not entirely true. The late 90's Acura 1.8 was the same car as the Honda civic, but, in the Acura manual it called for premium gas, and in the civic manual it called for regular. The reason was purely marketing. Premium buyer gets a premium car and uses premium gas. Mazda used the same...

    Maximum Tools (Battery)

I have a Ryobi 40v lawnmower and their leaf blower, and string trimmer. The batteries are interchangeable. That said, I probably wouldn't use the big *** lawnmower battery (can't remember the amps) in the string trimmer just due to weight. And using the small battery in the lawnmower also...

    Insurance for Younger Riders

I'm curious to know what numbers you get as well. My son races a 2015 R3 and I know for a fact when he turns 16 there is no way he'll be able to afford to ride on the street. My guess is with an M2, NO ONE will insure you. With an M, at 18, $7000/year.

    Kawasaki zx4rr

This. Cheaping out on parts that are easy to replace and commonly upgraded is the correct path to take for a budget bike.

Mystery Motorcycle Malady Took 4 Mechanics To Figure It Out

Unless the bike has a cassette transmission, there's no way all that can be done for that price. And if it is done for that price, I see a mechanic shop shutting down soon because they're losing money.

Pinhole leak in PEX pipe coming from tankless water heater

Wow, those have come down in price. 15 years ago you couldn't get a used manual one for $200. The cordless ones are a god send though if you do it reasonably often.

Pinhole leak in PEX pipe coming from tankless water heater

There are two types of PEX, the type that uses a copper/ss ring (PEX B), and the expandable type that uses a plastic ring (PEX A). There have been quite a few lawsuits where entire subdivisions had mass failures with the copper/ss rings. There have been none that I know of using the expandable...

Electric Truck - Anyone have a Ford Lightning or Pre Order a Silverado EV?

Did a Ferrari F355 cost that much in the 90's? Wasn't a pickup truck around $35k back then too? And a house was $174k. Damn.

Need a new String Timmer ( Weed Wacker) this year.

Yeah, I'm more of a ride hard, put away wet kinda person. In all seriousness, if the gas tank isn't completely full, rust develops. Forget to drain the bowl after going out for the last time, for a second time, goop can take over. F gas ones. No carbs to clean No carbs to adjust No plugs to...

Need a new String Timmer ( Weed Wacker) this year.

I have a Ryobi mower/trimmer/Blower that are on the 40V platform. Bought it when they first came out on promotion. Got the trimmer and blower for free. Without question I would do it again. I have no clue what just the trimmer costs, but it's probably worth it. Not having to winterize crap...
