Apparently the Citizen factory sale that I attended in the Fall is a bi-annual event. I'll try to watch for the Spring one, and get to it too, just for fun.
That was exactly what I was thinking. I like sushi, Citizen watches, and I ride a Jap bike, but that's as far as it goes. IMO, they've followed the Swatch example and jumped the shark. Well, OK, they (Japs, not Citizen) make some nice cars too.
I used to work for a renovator, years ago. We had several guys like that that got jobs for us. They are salesmen. That's all. They get the contract, then find people to do the work.
Mine is an aluminum U. I bought the rubber from my local garage door guy, and slid it into my original aluminum U. I had to open up the little grooves in a few spots where they had been squeezed a little too tight from use. I removed the extrusion to do so. Rubber was 2 bucks a foot.
These are amazing and cheap. Ticks all the boxes, unless you insist on a mechanical movement. I have no problem with ETA quartz. Only catch: not currently available, though the steel version is. I would take this on any underwater mission...
