    Moto helmets

While we're talking about fc moto, anyone used Bogotto helmets? ECE and DOT rating and they're 46% off.

    M1 insurance

You're doing good, you're doing the right things - asking questions and making yourself aware. Tons of info in here and some good folks and some crazy ones ;) Good luck!

    M1 insurance

Not to forget that you get a discount if you have done the safety course via an institute. Pays for itself. Added benefit is that you get to try out a bunch of bikes before deciding which one to buy. It's expensive but I think it's a good idea to do a safety course (M1X) especially since you're...

    Introduction

Welcome to the forum! Now I can say I know a real Canuck, no pun intended. The first sentence gets me a bit worried, new to riding and group rides. I'd suggest ride alone at your own pace until you're familiar with your bike and it's controls. Group rides are fun but can be a bit risky because...

    Another Bike Theft Fraud ?

If I were you I would take a good look at the senders profile here and see if they have any activities on the forum. Previously, I have had some people respond to my ads, which I was sure of being spams.

2023 Rides in the Planning Stage

Probably the same one I stayed last time when I went out to Calabogie. If it's the same one, then the host is really nice.

Toni Sharpless Supersonic Road Race School

@Saitou^.~ I might be interested in Racer 5/Fast. I potentially may not be around in summer due to work and other stuff (Jun-Aug), but I should be good for Fall (Sep-Nov). I'm just looking to do Introductory course/Phase 1. Please feel free to nudge me if you got anything going for those...

    M2 | Age 28 | Ottawa Residence | First Bike advise

Welcome to the forum! All great advise here when it comes to picking up your first bike. Your M2 test (assuming you're taking a safety course from an institute) should allow you to try on multiple bikes. So, if you prefer one style over the other you'll know. I would definitely recommend...

    HWK Riding Gear

I have a HWK pant, below is the armour that came with it (yellow ones). The black is from my Dianese. Like @Klaatu mentioned, the armour isn't great. Not complaining - I used it for a season and I paid less than 50 bucks for it.

I'm pretty sure if I say I went to North Pole @Lightcycle would respond with an image of him riding there. Not jealous at all.

High Park - Honda Rebel - hello there

Under normal riding circumstances, you will be putting yourself at risk if you do that. I would keep my legs on the peg until the bike comes to a stop. My above comment was meant on a lighter note. If you're racing, all of the above + looks cool. :)

    Has anyone seen ToSlow?

I have met a few GTAMers over the last couple of years. Everyone I met has been extremely kind to me. Some folks have even helped me out with my motorcycle because I'm terrible at working with my hands/space constraints at the current place. I usually go through the threads but respond only if I...

    2022 Day Trips!

Took the bike out for what I think might be the last ride for the season. Some usual roads but also some roads that I have never been on. On my way back from River Rd I took 2 Line E Rd. Few corners but nothing great. Checked out Side Rd 5 instead of the usual Hockley Rd, meh. Rode to Guelph and...

    River Road - Nov 5th 2022

Did River Rd both ways today. The slow right-hander (from Horning Mills side) had dirt/gravel mid-corner. Not having oncoming traffic helped. The pavement is in great condition but the speed limit is now 50 for most parts. I remember it used to be 60 before?
