School me on how I can get into shooting

LeBarons http://www.lebaron.ca/ or Bass Pro have a great selection of Pellet Rifles which do not require a PAL. Last I checked Canadian Tire also have a selection of CO2 hand Guns. Crosman 2240 is a reasonable accurate Handgun that you can mod. Also, .177 spring air guns with a scope are very...

    New rider on a CBR125

600 is a great bike! Test rode the Yamaha FZ6R a month ago at Oakville Yamaha. Lots of fun, easy to handle however accelerated quickly. Can easily get a speeding ticket. Also, should check the insurance rates. I called Riders plus and they said they do not insure R type bikes. You might want...

Will a stock GS500F do, Or does it need to be modded. Does the signals need to be remove and an Oil pan installed?

    wind/cold effects.

What type of bike to you have and do you have a windsheld attaced to your handle bars? I rode mY GS500F at 100km in 60 km wind Guests. Found that keeping the Revs above 6K improved the road holding and did cause the bike to wobble. Love the fixed fairing on the bike.

Returning rider from Dundas (outside Hamilton)

Enjoy the great riding in your area. Roads like Old Ancaster, Old York, Snake rd. Waterdown rd. or Hwy 5 to Paris are very senic and good for the soul. Also suggest you try riding to Port Dover on any weekend. Welcome and ride safe!

    New rider on a CBR125

I test rode the CBR125 twice and found it a lot of fun. However you need to keep the revs up to keep up with traffic. OK up to 80 km. I found that I was blown around on a windy day at 80 km, therefore I went with the GS500F. Put 5800 km this year, soon will need to be serviced.

Decent Article - Why We Ride

Agree 100%. As a returning rider I was suprised to see that most bikers still wave to each other. Have stopped to use my cell phone on the side of the road and another biker would stop and check if I was OK. Or stop for pull out a water bottle for a drink and biker would stop to check. Even...

Two riders down, one fatal Hwy 89 outside Alliston

Too many accidents this season including a person that works with me in Oakville that crashed on Snake rd. He still has not recovered. Hopefully he can return to work. He rode a red Kawi 750 which was often parked next to my GS500. See...
