That mark is not on my '08 temp gauge (i don't have MPH on my speedo either).
If I had to hazard a guess, that is the level at which the fan kicks on. I could be wrong.
From a fellow KLR rider. Your fine. I'm guessing you saw that temp at a stop/slow speeds after constant running.
Buy the thermo-Bob if you want. I think your just adding potential complications. All the thermo bob does is hold engine temp at a more constant level. If you do get one I'd wait...
peterm15 is right, ask if they can make lenses if you bring in frames.
I googled and found these in Toronto. Never heard or dealt with them but they look like they are on the right track if you want to try before you buy.

I have thought of this idea many a time. Sadly I don't own a power boat.
I would love to see a Hamilton/Toronto ferry service, with maybe 1-2 other stops.
If you don't have a way to secure it with zipper pull cords use stuff like a twist tie, zip tie, paperclip, etc. If that can't be found zip it so the zippers draws are at the side and not the top where the wind can easily grab it and slowly open it up.
Lakeshore is almost always better coming into the city (almost). Can you shift your hours? Come in earlier or later? You can always take transit but getting out the the beaches you may be SOL and spend the same amount of time with a GO/TTC combo
Does anybody know if IMleathergoods in Hamilton is still in business? Phone number says "Not in service", webpage is a Godaddy placeholder, Facebook page has had no updates since last year.
If not anybody know where I can get leather repaired in the Hamilton area, preferably with motorcycle...
Freeland St. between Torstar & LCBO has Green P street Parking.
XenoVibe, for free parking it must be on the street. No lots (no matter the colour) are free.
There are no green P lots on Queen Quay anyway.
You have to write a written test to get your M1@ a drive test center. You need this for the course.
You take the course that includes the M1 exit (aka M1 road test) test.
Take the sealed envelope to the drive test office 61 days after you took the written test.
I second Rotten Ronnie. I knobby DS tire on grates are not fun, esp when fully loaded.
I've never ridden across it but the Mackinac brige in MI has the 2 center lanes on the suspension as grated and it's a long *** bridge.
For the course your Goretex jacket will not be enough. If you already have a (non fashion) leather or denim jacket you'll be fine. A cheap rain jacket/pants from CT if it rains is handy. Some dollar store rubber gloves over your gloves will work in rain in a pinch as well.
Once your riding...
You need a web browser to stream the motogp live feed to your TV. I have my laptop connected to my TV via an HDMI connection.
Subscribe to the video pass at motogp.com (pick the kind of pass you want they have 2, single screen and multi cam).
