There was a time when I was with TD Meloche that they allowed me to switch between bikes intermittently, similar to doing so between two cars.
For instance if I wanted to do a weekend road trip, I would fax (remember those?) on a Friday before midnight for coverage until Sunday at midnight...
Was there something about yesterday that got a bunch of bikers going nuts (220+ km/h and lane splitting) and crashing ?
For that matter, here in the west GTA there were numerous car-on-car crashes too. Heard sirens all afternoon.
Looks like my Suzuki Bandit battery is done. It is a Chinese brand that came with the bike 2 yrs ago and the previous owner told me it was a year old. I trickle charged it all winter and even now so when it recently gave up, I was surprised there was no warning.
A number of manufacturer...
Aside from the 1st oil change, 1.25hrs for checking and adjusting chain tension and tire pressure. A few inspection areas, cooling level, air filter, electrical etc. In total 17 areas looked over including a test ride.
Took it in at the 1000 km mark.
Great service. The bill came to just over $200. I am now good for some track times (kidding).
Anyway, the service rep was previously employed by a BMW dealer and told me the 1st services on those bikes was always in the $500+ range.
Not much inventory in the...
No different than going to a dealership and buying a bike off the showroom. If dealerships don't allow test rides, you have no obligation likewise.
I have done as 'bigpoppa' mentions, in that do a cold start and ride the bike in front of him to demonstrate things. I even suggested that one...
No need for the drive to those places as I do have access to a nearby client's farm just on the Milton/Mississauga boundary.
He's prepping the land for a small subdivision this year so that area will be off limits due to the construction activity but it is linked by two un-signed and un-fenced...
I bought a bike out of BC and drove it into Mississauga. It was one of my best tours but the prairies were certainly boring. RCMP were set up periodically along the Trans Canada hwy but it didn't matter cuz it was a new bike and I took it easy.
The trip from Sask would have reduced the...
I found an AGM battery for my Honda dirt bike. That was four years ago on Amazon.
The bike sits a lot and the battery still keeps a charge, even over the winter.
We know they restrict motorized vehicles but who actually enforces that restriction ?
I wonder if municipal cops can enforce it under the Ont Traffic Act.
Word out this way in the west end is that a Demo ride day in around the mid 2000's and hosted by Cycle City in Burlington ended up with injury claims such that they weren't insurable afterwards and as a result forced the dealership to close.
It was sad cuz they were an established Yamaha and...
My brother bought a couple of bikes in BC, one for me.
I was able to plate it and insure it here with the documents that were sent to me, fly out and ride it home. It was a few years ago and mid summer so the ride was great with a backwind the whole way home. The only struggle I had was to...
You should receive it soon.
I got mine along along with a few Buds three weeks ago. It was over $1K which tells me I need to reign in my vehicle count.
My wife already donated to the Ukrainian cause so this money went to offset a few challenges like the price of fuel and beer.
