    Euthanizing a pet sucks. :(

@PrivatePilot , My heart goes out to you and your family. This kind of loss is heart wrenching. I was the same as you (unable to attend at the last) and share your regret. I have two puppies right now yet I know I will someday face the same decision. I dread that day.

    Watch out for Tesla's

Mercedes has a similar system. I was driving my wife's E450 on the 407, doing 120 in the middle lane. Approached an 18-wheeler truck in the right lane with intention to overpass when the car suddenly braked and reduced its speed to match the truck's 70 KPH. That was a real shock and totally...

    Didn't ride this year...

Thanks for sharing and thinking of you both. As a "Me too" post, I also didn't get out on the bike much this year. I was diagnosed with a condition in December, the symptoms being excruciating whole body pain. I definitely wouldn't have the ability to ride in that condition. I received...

What do you think about Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 Tire

I have had T31's on my bike previously and got great milage out of them. The've always been rock solid on the road, good grip. I replaced the worn tires this year with T32's and still believe they are great tires.

Bike has power, but won't start, clicking noise on key turn

What were you attempting to confirm by doing that?

Bike has power, but won't start, clicking noise on key turn

Test for AC volts across the battery terminals with the engine running. If you get anything more than a few millivolts, the regulator is shot. Also, 12.8 - 13 is battery resting voltage. With charging you should read 14V or so. Don't run the battery in the bike until you diagnose and fix the...

Bike has power, but won't start, clicking noise on key turn

Weird that a new battery would do this. You might have a parasitic current draw with the bike off and key removed that is draining the battery. It might be a recent problem since you haven't experienced this before. Read up on the Interwebs to see if others talk about this sort of problem.

Bike has power, but won't start, clicking noise on key turn

Dead battery. You can recharge it but it might be that the current battery is on its last legs depending on how old it is. If so, get a new battery and replace the old one. You can take out the old one and bring it to CTC for load testing.

East end welder to modify exhaust

I'm looking for recommendations for a good shop or individual that can do a small modification to my exhaust pipe on my bike. I'm in North York so I'd like it to be east end -- Scarborough, North York, Markham, Richmond Hill, that region. I don't have enough clearance between the exhaust pipe...

Trucker runs biker off the road

Isn't it possible that the truck driver saw the motorcycle's headlight coming up fast on the left and, as a courtesy, attempted to quickly move to the right to allow the bike to pass. The video doesn't show what traffic situation that the truck driver was evaluating as he brakes and moves...

    AliExpress

Sometimes AliExpress is the only option. I bought an aftermarket hose for my Karcher K4 pressure washer and found that the Karcher adapter did not come with the hose even though the seller listed Karcher as one of the supported washers. The seller was not able to help me. There was a firm in...

$10 gift card for each battery recycled at Princess Auto

I think they classified my UPS batteries as commercial batteries.

$10 gift card for each battery recycled at Princess Auto

Confirmed. I brought in 6 batteries to PA at noon -- 2 UPS gel cells, 3 motorcycle lead acid and one automotive battery. They took them all and gave me a gift card for $67.80 ($60 credit + HST). For me, that's a great deal because it's not worth my time to look for a scrap dealer.

Summoned for Jury Selection / Duty

I've been summoned for jury duty only once. I got through the whole process and was the next person to be interviewed for the 12th member. (Unfortunately) the person ahead of me was selected and we were all sent home. I would have liked to serve just for the experience. Don't know if I'll be...

    Stebel horn issue.

9V battery will not provide enough current. It needs a fair amount of oomph. Do you have a spare motorcycle battery or are you able to jump from your bike's battery to the positive pole on the compressor?

The Plating House - not such a great experience

It's like they know they are the only viable game in town. Very little choice these days given the huge environmental and health impact plating represents, and the demand for it just dwindling. I tried chrome painting and that was a total disaster. If you go that route, the shop you choose to...

The Plating House - not such a great experience

I had a couple of motorcycle engine covers I wanted decoratively chrome plated -- an oil pan and a cam chain cover for my BMW K75. I phoned around the various GTA plating shops but only got a positive response from The Plating House up in Vaughan. I visited the shop in mid-December 2021 and...
