Yup. That was a different league. Different set of rules (proper, ours were more relaxed). I played 1 yr. Too many fights, arguments etc. Good competition though. They ran 8 ball tournaments on Saturday afternoons. Think I paid my mortgage off from that....lol.

The league were were in was called "Real Men's 8 Ball", and was local to Hamilton bars only, and played Monday nights. It wasn't for $$$, just trophies / gifts and a yr end banquet. Women's similar league played Tuesdays. And a mixed league played Wednesdays. I can't find any info online...

Do you know if that league still exists? I've got interested players.

I spent the better part of my youth hustl'n in a pool hall. Played 24yrs in an 8 ball bar league in Hamilton. I miss it. I often entered 8&9 ball tournaments. I've got an 8 ball sized Brunswick in the basement.

I drained, cleaned and filled mine on Tuesday. Usually twice a yr. Two hours to fill, 10hrs to get to 100°F. No one goes in unless freshly showered, water stays good, longer. It gets 1 little chlorine puck every three days.

It skipped the 2018 Ridgeline. Misprint? I need another recall letter for my pile.
