A ***HIGHLY*** detuned Panamerica motor…. It’s kind of like saying the Yamaha FZ6r got its motor from an R6…. Different internals, way less power and RPM etc etc.

    Gryphon Deals Gap Gloves

Bought a pair at the motorcycle show last weekend. They appear to be well assembled, doubled stitched with full armour. The palm slider is leather and not plastic for anyone interested. These are the first pair of gloves that fit me 100% perfect right out of the box. I’m a size 2XL so getting...

    TV shows currently watching

Started watching “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” - I wasn’t expecting much, and I was blown away by the whole production. Episodes 1-3 are full on movie cinematic CGI and film etc - Episode 4 was a little lacklustre in comparison but still pretty good.

The "Are you thinking of a new bike for 2024?" discussion thread.

Would really like a new-to-me bike sometime this season. Don’t get me wrong… I absolutely *LOVE* my KTM RC8r. Freaking brilliant bike. But for commuting or trips, it’s not the right tool. So, I’ve decided I’d like something a little more vertical riding position. Looking at the KTM SuperDuke...

For veterans: Get oil deals early. Show up, buy, get out. Despite the entry fees, I’ve saved a whack of money of the years by buying a case or 2 at a time of the synthetic stuff. For Newbies: Check out the gear deals. Don’t go for the cheapest = best options. Be sure gear is authentic and buy...

My 42-Year-Old Friend Failed His M2 Exam

I understand what you’re saying… But you have to understand that the maximum class size for my lot is 20 students. I did a bunch of weekday evening classes too.. So, 400 students at the time of posting is A LOT of time I’ve spent on the lot…

2023 MotoGP Discussion (No Links - Contains Spoilers!)

Correct me if I’m wrong, please… But I think Dani was riding with the new Carbon Fibre frame as well… Not sure if the rest of the KTM crew had that bit of tech or not.

    Favorite bikes

Hmm My KTM RC8r is by far my favourite bike I’ve ever owned. Power/torque for days. Incredible character. Raw. Daytona 675 - good fun bike. Motor and transmission were buttery smooth and could turn on a dime. Buell 1125r - Fugly, but with its own charm. The motor was a bit underpowered, but the...

Getting ready to book Tail of The Dragon

My crew usually gets all our food at the Maryville (just south of Knoxville) Walmart. We rent a house with kitchen facilities. Considering you may be by yourself, a room with a hot plate and microwave might do the trick. Other tips… Cherohala Skyway. An absolute must do. Caffe Rel, in...
