I could not work with either of them

They are incorrect on the accident front. Ther have been lots of instances of minor (and not minor) damage pre delivery that is fixed and owner is never told. Technically dealer is supposed to disclose if damage is over 3k or two adjacent panels are damaged but I'm sure many dodge that obligation or bury it in the paperwork.
You're right, it happens on new cars also...but much less rare. They are incorrect on the accident front. Meanwhile, check their inventory and you'll probably find a bunch of vehicles that they brought in from qc :/. The real story is likely they are supposed to make money on the spread, not you. You're right, it happens on new cars also...but much less rare.
Another dealer told me I may as well set my money on fire by buying a QC car, after I mentioned that an acquaintance (@PrivatePilot) just bought an IONIQ5 in QC.
'Oh he's so going to regret that! You should never ever ever buy cars from out of province. You're just asking for trouble. I feel so bad for him'
I'm quite sure I started laughing.

Not advocating for this dealership, georgetown Kia. but they seem to always have a lot full of cars and SUV'sI'm actually tempted to email the salesman in Orangeville that I liked the car at...it's nothing special, but they offered me 20k for my GTI (where everyone else is in the 24-26k range as a trade).
I'm not in love with THAT car, but may just toss out 'hey, if you're still selling that thing my number is $ all in. Take it or not? Offer stays valid until I buy a car'.
Although with more thought given to it...an IONIQ5 is making more sense for our family, as we need space...and the Maverick doesn't seem to be in the cards currently, even though I've expanded my search to 500km.
VERY rare to find an XLT + Lux Package + 4k tow in not black/white.
That’s the thing. Almost every dealer I’ve gone to has a massive inventory. They just know someone will come in an hour and buy the thing I didn’t.Not advocating for this dealership, georgetown Kia. but they seem to always have a lot full of cars and SUV's
That is what's been happening the last few yrs, They know someone will buy it if you don't. No haggling prices anymoreThat’s the thing. Almost every dealer I’ve gone to has a massive inventory. They just know someone will come in an hour and buy the thing I didn’t.
Wilson’s in Guelph was great and I was honest with the salesman about budget and what I’m looking for.
Don’t care about how they get to $200/month on a 5 year with my GTI as trade.
Their best offer was $220/month on 84 months when I told them no to their first offer. They were shocked someone would even counter.
When I was there on a Saturday morning I counted about 30 people. Place is a zoo.
They were recently bought by a large corp that has 8-10 dealerships in Ontario alone.
Summary is there are good and bad.So whats the summery here, car salesmen are sleazy as ever? I don't want to watch some video, if that's all it is.
