Found a 2010 Chateau La Bastide Corrieres in the cold room. Mrs FLSTC's first attempt at a mint pesto.

Et voila! Mixed green salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Some lilac from the garden as decoration.

Next time I think we'll try vinegar instead of lemon juice in the mint pesto...

That was really Sunday's dinner but spent too much time on Sunday out in the garage fixing the exhaust on my Ford...

Well, I'd like to take a hands on roll here but I don't want to run off half cocked without pictures. I'm busting to brag about what I ate for dinner.
 
One can of No Name brand cut spinach fancy grade (says so on the can). Two Johnsonville polish sausages cut into bite sizes. Turmeric, cumin, black pepper, crushed red pepper. Add boiling water. Mix it all up. Microwave 3 minutes on high. I can eat that every day. Yum.

I made chili using pulled pork, well smoked pulled pork, red beans, can of diced tomato and a few chopped green chili peppers and two big spoons of decent chili powder.
Its authentic nothing, but tasty.
 
I know it's not a competition yet but when I use beans for anything I put them thru the blender (with boiling water to make it runny). This lets the spices infuse better to kill the beanie taste and probably aids digestion. Popular lore suggests beans are a superfood.
 
Joe better be careful what he posts. If I see something good, he'll be hearing his doorbell ringing shortly after.
