who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon

pardon my laughter.....washer and dryer is NOT high tech.

Try an iPhone or Retina iMac..

I think we have a failure to communicate. I never said China can't provide quality. You think a 2k bike is in same category as Retina iMac? No, it caters to the same market that sees value in a $29 toaster. What's next a $4k Panigale 1299?

it really comes down to cache with our label conscious culture,

Hey baby, want to come over and see my 4k panigale?
Hey baby, want to come over and see my commercial grade washer?

one line gets you the babe, the other gets you smacked.

"The factory is located in an industrial park a half hour's drive east of the city center. Its 600,000-sq.-meter site, an area equivalent to 85 soccer grounds, which was provided by the local government, includes a number of 17-story condominiums for employees"

"they keep employee costs down by providing reasonable priced places to stay. As long as the housing ponzi scheme keeps going in the west....never gonna be competitive."

This is the issue for competitors in democratic countries. You can't compete with a government, particularly the Chinese communist one.

As for the "Ponzi scheme", I'd still rather choose where I live based on what I want and can afford than live under the Chinese alternative.

Everything we consume in the west should come from the cheapest possible manufacturing countries. It's the only way we can sustain our lifestyles. We need more and cheaper. The quality will take care of itself. I would like to see my summer coffee destination stocked with the cheapest possible deserts straight from China by the truckload. Mmmm 75Cents for a quality Joe Rouis cake + coffee.

The middle class grew and thrived from the early 1900s all the way to the 1980s with robust domestic manufacturing. Indeed, the middle class emerged and grew precisely because of domestic manufacturing.

Outsourcing is a relatively new phenomenon designed to enhance the bottom lines of corporations and to line the pockets of the investor class. Its effect on the middle class has yet to be fully realized but is most likely to be devastating.

CSC has a program to introduce potential owners to current owners, there is a guy with a cyclon in Chino Valley which is 20 mins from my house in AZ. I'll be down there is January for a while and am going to connect with this owner and see the bike first hand and get some real world opinion of what to expect. I'll report back what I see, not that I'm trustworthy but I'm not being paid for my report.

looking forward to the report.

You got that right brother, I'm glad you picked up on my sarcasm. This rush by the cheaper at all costs fanboys to a psuedo Adventure bike makes me ill.

Yep. The part that I highlighted ("It's the only way we can sustain our lifestyles") is, sadly, how many people actually think.

Outsourcing is a negative feedback loop. Close the factory and ship off the jobs and then the cheap goods are all anyone can afford with their reduced buying power. That wasn't supposed to happen of course, our society was supposed to transition to a high tech "ideas" economy (greed was definitely part of it too). Problem is, all the easy ideas and tech have been done and huge amounts of capital are needed to push forward. They also need to be paired with a large manufacturing base, which the Chinese now dominate--and they have ideas as well. I suppose we could all stand to buy less junk, but that's not realistic when you consider how people decide to purchase stuff--even well thought out buys can be useless.

Gotta love the zombies repeating in every Chinese product thread " Everything is made in China nowadays"

What next? because my Iphone is made in China, i should consider flying with Chinese airplane?

Now we need to hear from someone in Canada that may have purchased one of these bikes and give a Canadian perpective on the build quality and rideability.
Face it we in NA have given away our manufacturing base, we just need to deal with it. It is not going to come back!

True but we don't have to celebrate it by clamouring for more of the same. It's sickening to read. One Panigale R with full Ohrins prease.

Please have a Walmart (they're the cheapest) Pharmacist check your meds.

Of course, where else would I go? Some of those meds even contain the correct compounds. While there I'll pick up some sawdust hamburger. Win/win, go China.

why not?? .....I want better and cheaper just as my industry has delivered for the past thirty years.

In particular cut out the middleman fat.

Tesla is having a problem with some states trying to protect their fat cat dealers from direct sales.

Panigale???...one quick search on google for Panigale quality turns up not so positive results.

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2012/08/ducati-1199-panigale-recalls-now-total-six/

ouch

Honda finally got the message ( and Yamaha ) and are offering wonderful intermediates at reasonable prices...CB500x and FZ-09 both are category killers.

I'll likely be ordering one of the kit bikes noted here either for Canada or Austrilia tho kid is angsting for a TW200 as a winter bike.

Dude, I'm talking big picture medium to long term. Your little examples are pisss in the wind. If you don't want to acknowledge what's happened (and why) over the last 30+ years celebrate away.

In my industry we are seeing a repatriation of manufacturing from Asia. For a variety of reasons, meeting sourcing regulations for fulfilment of government contracts, provisions in grants and subsidies , ethical sourcing enforcements (FSC regs) and the public perception that they do not want Chinese products spec'd into their residential projects (American pride).
Big picture , the turnaround will never happen in our lifetime. India will be a bigger threat than China ever posed. They will be more advanced and have a never ending supply of cheap labour. And when we are done exploiting them we will take another run at ruining Africa again, for those that missed what the Belgians, French and Brits did last time , read up.

So we have a manufacturer in mainland china , with ties and engineering to producing components for 'other motorcycle companies' for a number of years that decides to ship a bike into NA. They partner with a firm that is spending next to nothing on infrastructure or advertising, no doing co-op advertising, no sponsoring regional racing, they must be kooky.
Well if I cant see it at a show, and they aren't paying for a huge lightup sign, and it comes from a country without a motorcycle manufacturing pedigree , you know the places like Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, spain , parts of france for Gods sake which the likes of Yami, Triumph, and Honda hang out. Well it must be crap. As was Hyundia when they showed up. They got better.
Kawasaki cant even build there WSBK engines in Japan, they are outsourced to France.

Its a global economy folks. Has been for about 400 years in Canada.

Since I'm on a roll, those retards you see driving around with the "out of a job yet? keep buying foreign!" bumperstickers? They have no idea what products Canada exports , where they go, and what kind of foriegners on the other end of the deal are buying goods these idiots had a hand in manufacturing.

So? You saying we shouldn't cheer for our own interests? This is not the place for that?

Absolutely celebrate, when at the grocer look for Canadian produce. This can be a place for that. When others see potential value and sport in a motorbike made in China you expressed the fanboy fawning made you ill. Get some alka seltzer and move on. Are we only allowed to cheer for things you deem worthy.?

But you wont find any Canadian coconuts, know why? the cost to create an environment and the business model to even grow a coconut palm in Canada, let alone get fruit would border on retarded. Know what else you wont get? A low CC displacement bike that's road legal and has side bags and could go down a single track. We cant grow that here either cost effectivly.

Ah, I see you were offended. That explains all the explaining.
