Just rode home in all black right now. Amazingly I'm still alive. :dontknow:I wear black gear, I feel fine. If they can't see me, they can't try and kill me, it's work so far.

Calls himself Mr. Safety,
Calls everyone else an idiot for not wearing hiviz and being like him.
Wears an open-face helmet...
... Edit -- should I bother mentioning the no glasses/visor/googles? Isn't being able to see more important than being seen?
I live out here in the country and I definitely wear a hi-vis jacket.
But then again I mostly wear it so that police will think, "Hey, he is wearing hi-vis, so the rider must be safety conscious. So, they couldn't possibly be riding at the speed my radar says they are. Something must be wrong with the radar."![]()

So now speeding and wearing all black is going to land us in ditches or cut in half? This thread keeps getting better. Did you know that the highest rate of fatalities on bikes here are guys aged 45 to 55 on not sport bikes? You know.... the crowd who knows it all and typically don't wear full faced lids.![]()

That's sort of to be expected anyways given that more than half of all riders are in that demographic, tend to ride longer distances, tend to ride in rural areas where average speeds are higher, and have older bodies that do not handle or recover from catastrophic injuries as easily.
I didn't realize being younger allowed recovering from catastrophic injuries. Lighten up will you guys. It's supposed to be a discussion to keep us safer. I didn't mean anything personal - these are objective comments. Wear what you want. Done
