I bet Turbodish is on that list

I can't believe 13 judges said no and it had to go to supreme court. Awesome system we have here

No kidding..

I say we take it a step further and post up their photo, along with what crime they were CONVICTED of like they do in the states

Thats fairly useless meta data. I mean a sex offender could be someone with indecent exposure charge or somthing. So of the 20plus in links area how many are a threat to children...Maybe 1 or 2

Wow, there are 20+ in my area.
6 on mine, but then further east, Oshawa seems to be sex offender central, not surprised

The Ontario Sex Offender Registry (OSOR) was created as a result of the abduction and murder of 11-year-old Christopher Stephenson by a convicted sex offender on June 18, 1988. Following the Coroner’s inquest into Christopher’s death, it was recommended that the Solicitor General of Canada, in conjunction with the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General, police and other appropriate bodies, establish a registry for convicted, dangerous, high-risk sexual offenders, and require each offender to register with police in the jurisdiction where the offender will reside or is residing.

Makes sense that more built up lower income areas would have more...again i'm quote surprised this fairly innocuous meta data was withheld...its just stats

I stand corrected. But still its useless Metadata

I agree with you there, its just a snap shot of where these people live. I cannot believe that they battled in court for 6 years over this yet they had no problem of releasing the same info, by postal code, of gun owners who didn't break any laws..

Yea that seems silly. The only reason i can think is they thought it might spur vigilantism..but its so vague..

No Canadian data

enter a address or postal code go into settings make sure sex offender is checked
some jurisdictions list sex offenders some don't
if you find a listing it should have a photo as well as other personal info
this has been up for years FWIW

Oshawa's nearly as dense as downtown east of Yonge lol. What is it with poverty and sex offense? And north of the Kawarthas? oh my...

When an 18 year old dating a 17 year old becomes a sex offender cuz the girls parents were vindictive, I can't trust that data one bit.

Wonder how many of our own GTAM members only escaped by chance.

Can't we just have violent sex offenders put on death row? Save a lot of $$
