LOL. You DeVry Graduates are so arrogant after you get your small-engine repair degrees in hand.
Some street bikes have clearance issues. I have had issues because I'm tall, and have size 13 feet. Also, sometimes the point of a discussion board is to extend the conversation out in general, in this case, why a person would want to add rear-sets. It's part of the community of discussion, and one good use of the internet. Of course, your opinion that rear sets on street bikes are only for cosmetic value will be taken under consideration.

There are basic rearset options, and exotic, same for clip ons. And I've owned them across the spectrum, whether for street or track. I think I'm somewhere around 6 different aftermarket rearset manufacturers, and 3 different for clip ons. The thing is the more one gets exotic the more difficult parts and prices become.
Did someone say Sato? Did someone say gold? lol. For my current build...I wanted to keep the rear brake light switch and the desire was to go with the most exotic option with parts easily available I could find.

I was looking at vortex rear sets last year, almost bought a set but at that time price was a tad bit high, as well though they maybe a little over kill for street use.
If i don't track the bike and purchase rear sets, i am in need of a left oem foot peg as the current one is a tad bent
